Page 65 of Hades is Mine

When Hades tugged up my shirt, his hands first on my bare skin, I sucked in my breath and let him kiss me. Our lips fit perfectly because we were meant for one another, and he pressed himself against me, his erection against my hip. He seized the back of my neck, growling in the kiss, and I moaned in his mouth while the other gods undressed me. One unclasped my bra, one unzipped my jeans. So many hands had me stripped in seconds, and the attention dove to the more sensual parts as fingers moved between my legs, mouths over my body. I whimpered in pleasure.

I opened my eyes and stared into Hades’s gaze, lost, falling. No words were needed between us. We’d been through so much—him finding himself, fighting his inner demons, and me my own. But that tantalizing attraction between us had always remained and pulled us back together, as if knowing we were meant to be, that Hades had to take his place alongside me with the other men I loved. The five of us were fated.

Apollo collected me into his arms, and our mouths smashed together as he carried me to my bedroom with all the men following. I shook with anticipation, my head flooded with sexy thoughts.

I had no idea how it would be with all four of them together. I’d never had it like this. They were all so different and their magic was unique to each of them. I had no idea what it would be like if it poured into me the way it usually did when we slept together.

But I had magic of my own and it was just as strong as each of theirs. This time, when we were all together and pressed up against each other, opening ourselves up to one another, I’d share my magic with them just as they shared with me.

This was what I’d longed for so long. This was where I wanted to be. I wasn’t a human, but I’d still live on Earth. I’d visit Mount Olympus if I chose to, but I belonged here, and this was home. I was the Goddess of Sanctuary after all, and I had to look after the people. That was my duty, what I’d been born to do, and I was determined to carry out my task to the best of my ability.

I’d been given a gift. I’d cultivated it without knowing, and I was determined not to waste it. I’d look out the humans, not one life would be stolen ahead of its time. No one would be able to threaten the people who belonged to me and they’d remain safe.

Even if they didn’t know it. Because that was what it was to be a god or goddess. We watched over the people and we reigned over them without them realizing we existed.

And it was enough because we knew that was our calling.
