“As we take down Alpha after Alpha, we show who is the True Alpha of this nation. I will give the faithful the gift of power and the ability to transform into the third form. We kill those who stand in the way of this Pack! We kill the ones who aren’t pure in blood! We are the chosen, and we will own it all. Now it’s time to show how my ultimate strength will have every other Alpha kneel at my feet. Once we take the Rayne Pack’s Alpha down and destroy a family of Alpha’s that are un-pure, they all will bow. This so-called True Alpha Quinn is nothing more than a puppet propped up to control you. He claims a Witch as a Mate, and she has birthed bastard un-pure pups. Follow me to cleanliness and to rid this world of the abominations of half-breed wolves. Follow me, and your children will have a chance to live as the dominant species of this world. Disobey and suffer just as the un-pure wolves in your Packs. Follow me as I become Alpha to all Packs across this nation. We must take out the ones who stand in our way. The ones who protect the barriers that will lead us to our great power!” The words he spoke switched into another language I didn’t know before when I was here, but now I understood. It was the language every wolf shifter instinctively knew. I focused back again on the rogue as he continued in the language of wolves.

“We take this land and this house, and it will start the chain of events to take the rest of the Packs as our own! We have laid the groundwork to start this War, and we will execute it once the Aenocynon dirus Pack has killed the ones who have been sent to stop me. Who can stop the True Alpha?” Aeron roared.

“Alpha! Alpha! Alpha!” The wolves all howled, and the men and women that stayed in their human forms screamed. Aeron’s crimson eyes burned with malice and hatred, but the cunning I saw was all fucking demons. He had no clue this demon was feeding off every bit of his soul and everyone tainted with his poisoned blood. How could I have missed this information or these smells and this sky that reminded me of somewhere I knew. Things looked different in this form, but I knew I was missing something glaringly obvious. This demon knew I was here and of my gifts, so it’s fucking with me. I turned back toward Aeron as his speech switched back as if he never said what I just heard.

“Once that is accomplished, we will make this country and make everyone bow at our feet. I Aeron Alpha of the Breaker Pack True Alpha to all wolves will wash this land in the blood of all who stand in our way! We take the un-clean Rayne Pack, and then we kill the man who calls himself the True Alpha Quinn Savir. Who’s ready?” I watched the man grinning at the howls that filled the air. His scowl was aimed at those who stayed silent. I moved closer to get a better look at Aeron as he looked over his crowd. His dark brown eyes held a crimson ring, just like Quinn’s. The difference was that ring wasn’t from any natural-born power but one of a demon. I remembered this was when he would look at me, but I was no longer in human form. When his gaze landed on me, he moved over me, but I wasn’t that damn lucky. It wasn’t more than a minute his eyes snapped back in my direction, and I knew he could see me for who I am now.

“Hunter! Impossible! Come here!” Aeron leaped down from the platform he was standing on, coming directly at me. I didn’t throw up my arms this time, but I used my new agility and moved out of the way. Everyone and thing around me stood stock still as if they were on pause. I started to search for the tie to my body to pull myself out of this vision. “No! You died! You will die, and I will...” His voice faded as I felt my thread to my body. I used my teeth to grab hold of it and pulled. As I tumbled, I flipped around, and I saw the familiar lights of a large mansion styled to look like a castle. It was my home and the place he truly wants to attack. I saw the sky as my body flipped once more and I saw that the moon was full and hung like a spotlight on the hundreds of wolves readying for an attack. All of my people would be there, along with two other Hunter Houses, to welcome the graduating Hunters on the night of the full moon. That action would be considered as War. It would become War amongst the Hunters and Werewolves. “Shit!” I lost sight of the sky, my home and the demon as everything went from a bright white to green and then to a warm baby blue as I was plunged back into my body.

“Vana! Oh, sis, talk to me.” I knew it was Dali, but I couldn’t open my eyes. I could barely make my lips move. Everything was swirling around in my mind as I tried to pull all the pieces together. I had to warn my Mother and Father. I had to tell Dax to tell Quinn what this demon was trying to accomplish.

“Vana, just rest for a little while longer, sis,” Dali said softly. There wasn’t time for rest because this attack was going to happen, and soon. I tried using the mental touch to Dax, but I slipped into the blackness that called my name.

Ifelt as if I was moving backward in his thoughts as I watched him and Lindell set explosives around my home. The most were where we kept the pups and the non-fighters of the Pack. As images flipped through my mind, I saw him infect three more wolves whose job was to make sure the cell where we would keep our prisoners had a way out if no one was watching them. I almost squeezed his head clean off when I saw William and Lindell trying to infect another wolf who lived off this property but still was one of mine. This wolf wasn’t weak in the mind, and when it didn’t happen, Lindell came out and shot him in the chest. It was a direct hit in the heart, so I knew it could take time to heal. Fabian didn’t move, and I knew then that it wasn’t regular bullets they used. When his wife came running into the house with their baby in her arms, Lindell also shot her. When William reached down and took the baby from its Mother’s arms, what twisted my stomach. They left the bodies in the house, taking the child with them. That was the house I was going to last night, but they were already dead even if I had made it. I pulled my claws out of William and let his body fall to the ground.

“Where is the child?” I growled. William began to whimper as Jarod started to shift. I tried to see what they did to the child and everything after that scene, but it was blank.

“I didn’t know…I didn’t know…” William repeated. I felt Jarod’s fur brush against my hand as he stalked forward. I had no time to argue because I could feel the time ticking on the detonators for the bombs placed everywhere. Not only was my entire Pack basically inside that house, but so was my Mate. I leaned over as Jarod, with teeth bared, growled in his face, ready for the word to rip his throat out.

“You have one second to tell me what you remember about that baby,” I growled so low it would have been inaudible to a human ear. I was his Alpha, and I should have been able to rip through his mind to find the answer, but I knew if I tried, the trap doors in his thoughts would alert that bastard Lindell.

“I…I can’t. I don’t know! It’s like it’s not there! I don’t know…” I howled. I knew everyone could hear it and wouldn’t mistake it for anything but my rage. “Dear God, I don’t…wait…Lennox…he. It was odd because he asked Jayla about formula…” I grunted as I spun in place, not needing another word from his lips. He may have done a thing without knowing, but he willingly chose to help Aeron and his Pack.

“Jarod. End him and have Ezra and Jamel find the brothers Lennox and Lindell as well. One of them has the child.”I focused my thoughts on my other brothers, touching each mind as I slammed through the doors of my home. It was as if every heartbeat was a second that we had left to find seventeen explosives. With my wolf senses, it should be easy. Being an Alpha would be child’s play if only they weren’t spelled to be hidden.

Everything was in chaos as I went to the first one William had hidden. He only had five that he hid, and the brothers hid the rest.

“When the fuck is this shit going to go off?”Alex mentally shouted as he tore everything apart.

“Minutes, we have minutes! Get everyone out! Now!” I roared. I could withstand a blast, but no one else here except maybe Remi and Maeze could handle something like that.

“We have no time! There is no way we can get everyone out!”Dimitri growled in my mind. I found three of the devices William had hidden so far. I had an enforcer take each one far away from here, but we still had too many to go and not enough fucking time. They were spelled, but it didn’t feel as though they were demonic when feeling the ones William had hidden.

“Dax! What the hell is happening?” Dali shouted as I handed the fifth device off to an enforcer to get rid of it. I spun around in a panic because she and Devana should have been out of here!

“What the hell are you still doing here?” I moved and had her by the arms and back into the room. The enforcers weren’t at the door, but I called to anyone who was near to get here right the fuck now.

“What the hell? Dax, what is going on? The two giants at the door burst in here and told me to leave! We can’t…”

“This fucking house is going to blow up! It would be best if you got Devana and yourself away from here. Now!” I said, moving to lift Devana into my arms.

“NO! No! Don’t touch her!” I stopped and pulled back. I didn’t fully understand why I listened to her words, but it had an underlying tone. My wolf was on alert and peering through to look at Dali. “She was having a vision and didn’t fully awaken. If we move her right now, she could be lost trying to find her body. I don’t know if she made it fully back, and I won’t until she wakes. We can’t move her, Dax.” Dali stated. Her eyes were wide, and I could tell she was hoping I understood, and I did.

“Fuck!” I turned and headed for the door because time was running out, and no one found the ones Lindell and Lennox hid.

“Ezra!”

“They are on the run, Alpha. We are on their trail as we speak.”

“You need to move faster. We have a problem, and those bastards know the location of it.”

“Consider it done.”

“Dax!” Dali had been saying my name a few times, so I focused on her now. Devana wouldn’t want her sister here if she had the chance to live.

“You need to get the hell away from here, Dali.”

“Fuck that! This is my sister, and I think you forgot something. You have a Witch here, correct?” I turned around to give her a nod and ran for the doors. I knew everyone in this vicinity heard my mental shout. I made it to the ground floor, and Journee came through the broken doors in the arms of Dimitri.
