“Yep. You don’t know my ex and if it’s him doing all of this, I don’t want to be anywhere near here.”
“I’m good with that. Pack whatever you need and we can get out of here then.”

Wyatt ran out to his truck and plugged in his cell while she got ready. As she looked at the duffle bag on her bed, she couldn’t do anything but shake her head. She shouldn’t be surprised this was happening. It’s what Michael did. The only thing that made her feel any better about what was happening was Wyatt. He seemed genuinely invested in her safety and that meant a lot to her.
She didn’t remember falling asleep last night but she did wake up some time during the night and realized that she was much closer to Wyatt than either of them planned. With no shirt on, his body radiated heat and she couldn’t help but curl right into him. He even smelled good and after one big deep breath, she drifted off to sleep again.
Now it hadn’t even been forty-eight hours and she was leaving the house she’d just bought. She was determined to do whatever necessary to catch Michael and put him away so she could live her life the way she was mean to.
Will they be followed when they go to his apartment? She knew Wyatt was smart enough to not let that happen so she was going to trust him to take care of her.
Yet another adventure and she had no idea where it would lead her this time.
