“Yes please.” She embraced the sides of his face and hungrily kissed his lips as Hudson pushed himself in until he was fully seated.

“Oh God, it’s so tight, you feel so good.”

She shifted her body, encouraging him to continue. Once he started moving, she never wanted him to stop. Sex hadneverfelt like this. He did so many things to her she couldn’t keep track. She would be thoroughly happy if she never had to leave his bed again.

“You won’t ever have to leaveourbed. This is our bed now, not just mine.”

He kissed her again so tenderly she felt it right to her soul.

Hudson woketo the smell of bacon. He sat straight up.

“Shit, I forgot I left that out. Why does it smell so strong?”

He turned to check on Wren, but she wasn’t in bed. He looked around and saw no clothes lying anywhere so he jumped out of bed and grabbed the jeans that were folded on the top of his dresser and headed downstairs.

“Hey, I see you found the kitchen.”

“Oh gosh, I’m sorry If I woke you. I was going to bring everything to you in bed.”

He laughed but was careful not to offend her.

“Why is that funny?”

He walked around the dining room table to where she was standing at the stove and kissed her cheek.

“Good morning. Not funny really, I was just going to do the same thing for you this morning, it seems you just beat me to it.”

“Awe that’s sweet of you. I think I woke up at the crack of dawn and I felt so good but starved so I tip-toed downstairs, found my bag and got dressed. I snooped around until I found a shower and then worked my way around your kitchen.”

She served up a huge omelet covered in sausage gravy onto a plate and pointed to a spot at the table as she handed the food to him.

“Go eat, I’ll grab mine and come sit with you.”

Minutes later, she was sitting to the left of him and watched as he shoveled one fork full after another into his mouth.

“I think you should breathe between bites Hudson.”

He started to talk but there was still so much food in his mouth he didn’t want to spit it out and look like an idiot. He was able to talk once he’d swallowed it all.

“This is amazing, I didn’t know you were such a good cook.”

“Yeah, I guess there’s a lot you don’t know about me yet.”

“I think we have a lot of time to learn everything about each other.”

“I like the sound of that. So, what’s your plan for the day?”

Hudson finished his food before she was even halfway through it and pushed his plate away before he finished his orange juice.

“Well, I think probably the first thing we should do is go to the courthouse. Are you up for that today?”

“I am, I think that’s a great place to start.”

Hudson left the table, carried his plate to the sink then went searching through the drawer of the hutch. When he found what he was looking for, he went to sit back down beside her, but then stood back up and moved the chair away and knelt on one knee.

“Oh my gosh Hudson?”
