Twenty minutes. I could go downstairs for twenty minutes and not lose my shit. Plus, it may be good for her to see me with someone else. It will piss her off enough to stay away.
I headed outside and saw Snow dancing around the fire with a bottle of ale in her hand, and Enzo, Calix, and Jace dancing around her. Barrett and Gideon were in deep conversation and Garrison and Dresden were talking, while Dresden was whittling a stick.
“Gage!” Snow shouted, holding the bottle up in the air as she ran over to me.
“Snow.” I said, staring down at her. She put her hands on my chest and looked up at me with those hungry eyes, like she was daring me to do something or say something.
I grabbed the bottle from her and took a sip.
“Hey! That was mine.” She slapped my chest.
“I think you’ve had enough.”
She reached for the bottle, but I held it above her head. She jumped up, trying to get it to no avail.
“Why are you such an ass?” She asked through gritted teeth.
“Why don’t you learn your lesson?”
She glared at me and walked away.
I sat down in the chair and rested the bottle on my knee only to find that she had grabbed another bottle and held it up with a fuck you grin plastered across her face.
I rolled my eyes and watched as she went back to dance in between Enzo and Jace. I tried to ignore her moving and swaying her body and tried not to let the fact they kept their hands on her get under my skin.
“Knock, knock.” I heard her singsong voice and turned around to see Eloise walking outside. She was wearing knee high leather boots with short black shorts and a tight glossy leather vest. She had cut her black hair short and the moon in the sky caused her eyes to glow a soft golden color.
“What are you doing here?” Enzo walked over to her.
I watched Snow’s eyes follow him across the yard.
“We’re going to hang out.” I offered.
Eloise looked at me and then at Enzo. “Had I known you were having a party I would have asked Cana to join… she loves spending time with you boys.” Eloise said letting her finger run down his chest.
“Hi. I’m… Scarlet.” She said, inserting herself in the conversation with her hand out.
Eloise nodded. “Yea. I saw you at the Tav. Are you looking for a job?”
