“How much more?” her dad asks.

“I kind of crawled through his window.”

Vadim lets out a laugh that echoes through the room, making Gina give a small jump in surprise. I just stare at Gina. I vividly remember jacking off to her photo on the couch. Had she seen me? Judging by how red her cheeks are, I’m guessing yes. That little vixen! I’m going to enjoy making her ass just as red when I spank her later for this.

“You what?” Belov yells. “How did you get in and exactly what time were you there?”

“I used the fire escape and climbed in the window.” She sucks in a deep breath and adds, “I was there from ten to one-thirty.”

Belov slams his hand down on the table. “Goddammit, Gina!”

“I know. I’m sorry,” she says, crossing her arms over her chest as if trying to comfort herself.

“What was he doing? Are you sure he didn’t leave?”

“He definitely didn’t leave.”

“Well, what was he doing?”

Her eyes meet mine, and I have to bite my cheek to keep from laughing at how uncomfortable she looks right now. I manage not to smile, but I do give her a quick wink, letting her know that I know exactly what she saw me doing.

The red flush on her cheeks just keeps getting brighter, and she quickly looks away from me, but not before I see the desire in them. I’m guessing she liked the show.

“Um,” she finally chokes out, “He was just hanging out at his place. He watched a hockey game, then went to bed and read for a bit before falling asleep.”

“You’re sure he didn’t leave at all, not even for a little bit?”

I can hear the desperation in Belov’s voice. He so desperately wanted to pin this on me. How frustrating it must be for him to have his own daughter blow it. I almost laugh thinking about it.

“Yes, I’m sure he never left. I snuck out after he fell asleep. I checked my watch on the fire escape. It was a little after one-thirty.”

“Where were you?” I ask, unable to keep quiet any longer.

She’s surprised by my question and looks at me before she can stop herself. She quickly looks away before saying, “I was in the loft.”

“And when I went to bed?” I ask.

She meets my eyes, surprising me. “I crawled under it.”

I hold her gaze and laugh because I can’t believe she had the guts to do something like this, and I can’t believe she was in my apartment the whole time and I never knew. If she was in the loft, then that means she saw everything I was doing and knows exactly what I was looking at while I was doing it. I suddenly remember my missing black T-shirt and laugh even harder. I decide to keep that to myself. I’d much prefer to confront her in private about that.

“I think your daughter just proved my client’s innocence,” Vadim says with a grin. “I’ll be in touch about whether or not we want to press charges for breaking and entering.”

Belov grits his teeth so hard, I worry he might actually crack one. He looks like he’s about ten seconds away from a massive heart attack. I think about snapping a photo but decide against it.

“Come on, Dmitri,” Vadim says, standing and tapping my arm. “I believe you’re free to go.”

I stand up and follow Vadim, but as I pass by Gina, I lean down and whisper in her ear, “I think you forgot to mention stealing my shirt. I am curious what you did with it.”

Her body stiffens next to mine, and her sharp intake of breath has me turning so her dad can’t see the erection his daughter’s given me.

“What the fuck did you just say to her?” Belov yells at me.

I laugh and holler over my shoulder as I’m walking out the door. “I told her she looks too innocent for a life of crime.”

Vadim and I walk out of the police station to the sounds of Belov’s muffled yells. I almost feel sorry for Gina.

Almost.
