Later, Paige felt ridiculous. Her heels were so high she could look Parker straight in the eye. Her dress was so tight she felt almost obscene. Her hair had been flat ironed to within an inch of it’s life and left to fall sleekly around her shoulders – she couldn’t remember the last time she'd flat ironed her hair. It was all so far out of her comfort zone, she'd almost refused to go out with them.

Parker’s reaction to her had changed her mind, though. He'd simply stared at her, the same way he used to, his eyes wandering over every exposed inch of skin. All three of them had stood silent in the hotel while he looked. Then, finally, he smiled.

“You’re so beautiful,” was all he said.

And Paige had melted.

THEY ATE AT A SWANKYrestaurant in Caesar's Palace, and then Parker taught her how to play craps. An old guy rolling deep at the table took a shine to her and wanted her to blow on the dice before he rolled them. Parker thought it was hilarious and encouraged her to flirt with him. It was her turn to laugh, though, when the guy won big and tipped her with a thousand dollar chip. It also made her feel slightly less guilty about the dress.

Then Parker surprised them all with tickets to a huge boxing match that was going on at the MGM Grand. Joey was a little disappointed, but it was right up Paige’s alley. She threw herself at Parker, going all out and making out with him right in the middle of the casino floor. After a while Joey started making gagging noises and they broke apart.

Paige hadn’t heard of either of the boxers, but that didn’t stop her from cheering for one and absolutely hating the other. The venom that spilled from her mouth shocked Joey, but just made Parker laugh some more. She talked so much trash that a fan for the guy she was trashing finally got upset and told her to shut her mouth. After a couple words were exchanged, Parker feared a second boxing match would break out right there in the stands and he intervened.

“I could’ve taken him,” Paige fumed when they were walking away from the arena. Her guy had won, but she was still mad about the fan from the audience.

“I’m sure you could’ve,” Parker assured her, wrapping an arm around her waist.

“You said words in there I’ve never heard, Paige. I think your verbal barrage actually made me physically ill,” was Joey’s comment.

They did go to an absolutely huge nightclub at the Palms, but the boys dragged her to the bar on top of the roof after a while. Then they all went to Fremont street and ate in an absolutely scary diner that turned out to serve amazing burgers. Joey was falling asleep, but Paige was still going, so they gave him a key and sent him back to the Bellagio while Paige and Parker walked around.

“Having a good time?” Parker asked as they strolled into the Luxor. She nodded, smiling. She was feeling a little tipsy from all the drinks, but she figured it was contributing to her feet not hurting yet, so it was all good.

“The best time. So much fun. I’m so glad Joey came,” she breathed, following him onto a set of escalators.

“Good. We didn’t think he’d be able to make it, that’s why I didn’t say anything. Then we thought it’d be funny to surprise you. Surprised?” he asked, stepping off at the top. He held out a hand for her.

“Most definitely,” she replied, taking his hand and letting him guide her.

They were in a food court of sorts, but the facades of all the restaurants were done up to look like an ancient Egyptian village. Everything was closed and it was dark. They were the only people. Paige laughed, walking with her head tilted back so she could look at everything. Parker held onto her hand and led her forward.

“So Paige,” he started. She glanced over at him.

“Yes, Parker?”

“We only have a week left,” he said softly.

“I know,” she whispered.

“How do you want to spend it?” he asked, pulling them to a stop. She looked down at their hands, which were still clasped together.

“I don’t know, more of this?” she asked with a laugh, swinging their hands. He smiled.

“That’s it?”

“Maybe some more nudity.”

“Maybe. If you behave. Joey flies home tomorrow afternoon. Do you wanna stay here, or go somewhere else?”

“I told Trent we’d meet him in San Diego around the first or second,” she said.

Parker stilled their hands.

“So you wanna spend what is potentially our last week together with your friend Trent?” he asked, trying to keep the jealousy out of his voice.

“No, not the whole week. Just like a day or two. I haven’t seen him in forever, and he did invite us, which is kinda nice of him,” she pointed out.
