I rush back to my binoculars and see her plop down on the couch, phone in hand and I think she’s typing.

Yup, she sent a message back.

“Oh come on!” I throw the binoculars in the passenger seat.

I rush through my phone finding this guy’s profile and reading it. He works in heating and air…boring. 29…too old! Loves dogs…cliché.

“Oh come on. You can’t really be falling for this bullshit can you?”

I realize my voice has gotten louder and I look around making sure no one else is around.

I open the tinder app on my phone that hashersign-on saved and I find the messages.

Kyle: Did it hurt?

Chalene: What?

Kyle: When you fell from heaven?

Chalene: I see what you did there. Funny.

Fuck she can’t be falling for this.

I grab my head with the pain ringing through it.

Kyle: Wanna go out?

Chalene: Sure

Kyle: How about dinner tomorrow?

Chalene: I have to work. Lunch would be better.

Good girl…play it safe in the daytime.

Kyle: Okay, how about I pick you up at noon?

The messages finally take a slight pause and I hold my breath.

Chalene: I’d prefer it if we meet.

A large exhale blows out of my body and I slump. “Yes!” I hit my steering wheel. “Good girl.”

I grab my binoculars and search her windows.

She types on her phone a bit more and I see a few more messages solidifying when and where to meet and then she gets up pulling her shirt over her head exposing her perfect perky breast in a grey bra.

I have a love-hate relationship when she does this. It's dangerous, stupid, and anyone could see.

But I get to see…

Chapter 15

Chalene

Last night was terrible for a while. I couldn’t believe, out of all the jobs I could have gotten, I ended up at Jax Astor’s bar. Screw my life.

I sincerely considered quitting and I still might, if Jax doesn’t uphold his promise.
