Turning back to Kace I said, “Is this where Superman carries his girl straight to the altar to get married?”

It wasn’t an altar of course but he got my drift. And although I was teasing, I let out a surprised shriek when he handed me Denver and then bent down and picked us both up together in one swoop. Then he proceeded to walk us down the steps straight toward our family who was hooting and hollering.

In one day, I’d gotten engaged, received a beautiful ring, and was moving into a brand new, amazing home.

But the best part of it all was saying I do to the man I loved.

And becoming Mrs. Anderson.

ChapterForty

KACE

She wasthe most beautiful sight I had ever seen.

The sun had gone down and my wife was standing by the pond looking thoughtful as the candles on the tables flickered in the evening breeze.

Having said goodbye to all our guests we had the place to ourselves for the night. I wondered if Teal was struggling with letting Denver go to Alley’s house for the evening. He was still very little and had never been away from her for too long at a time—or either of us for that matter. I knew the last time she’d been away from him, even though he had been safe with Gemma, was the night she’d been taken. Not knowing if she was going home to her son again was one thing she’d been working through.

And while I wanted nothing more than to ravish my wife for hours and have her all to myself, I was having a hard time with the little guy not being here with us.

Walking up behind her, I wrapped my arms around her middle and sighed in contentment when she immediately leaned back, melting into my body.

“We can always go pick him up later and stay at the condo where all his stuff is after we spend some time together here,” I told her, my chin resting on her shoulder.

She turned in my embrace and placed her soft hands on my cheeks, her bright, teal-colored eyes that twinkled like a precious stone were filled with so much emotion. My girl always had so many things going on in her head at once and her feelings came through those beautiful eyes of hers.

“You wouldn’t think badly of me or think that I’m ridiculous?” she asked.

Shaking my head, I placed my hands on her arms and gently rubbed them up and down to comfort her. “Honey, I miss him already too. You being a fabulous mother and worrying about your son is not ridiculous. It makes you even more spectacular than you already are.”

With her delicate hands still on my face, she leaned in, bringing her lips so close to mine they were almost touching. “I’m so glad you’re mine. You, Mr. Anderson, are special. And that’sourson, don’t forget.” Her mouth teased mine as she spoke and our breaths mixed as one. My pulse picked up and I couldn’t hold back any longer. My hands dove into her hair and slanted her head, I claimed her lips. And devoured her like a starving man.

When I pulled back, both of us were breathing heavily and I saw the desire burning in her eyes. I knew it was time to make love to my wife.

“We can decide later what we want to do aboutourson, but right now it’s time to ravish my wife.” I gave her a sexy smirk.

Her hands dropped from my face and her gaze danced with anticipation for what would come next. I didn’t make her wait long, I leaned over and threw her over my shoulder, then headed straight for our house.

“Which room are we starting in?” She let out a giggle as she dangled upside down.

Oh, we were going to make our rounds, but I had something special set up in our bedroom first. “Bedroom first,” I told her as I made my way through the house and up the spiral staircase.

“You sure do have a very fine ass,” my girl said as she bounced a little with each stair I took.

“Glad you approve, baby.”

Teal and everyone had taken a tour of the house after we had said our vows, but our bedroom had been shut and off-limits. Our friends had helped get stuff ready earlier outside and in the house before we showed up. And Gyth had married us, having gotten his ordain license so he could perform the ceremony, just as I had his and the others.

It had all gone great, except when the jackass tried to pay me back for the shit I pulled with all of them when they got married and asked Teal if she was sure she wanted to marry my sorry ass. Which was the start of Embry collecting money for her swear jar. He pointed to Rowan, then Lyric, and told her that there were some other eligible bachelors she could take off the market right then and there.

When a growl erupted from my throat, Teal giggled and laid one on my mouth before we even said, ‘I do’. It had felt so damn good I almost didn’t come up for air or care if everyone's eyes were on us. When we’d finally broken the kiss she’d looked over at Gyth and told him that she thought she would keep me since I was a damn good kisser. The word damn had Embry cheering that Teal now owed her too because that girl didn’t miss a beat when money was involved.

It was simple, fun, romantic, and perfect.

But I had been itching all night to get my wife alone.

I turned the knob on the door and pushed it open. I moved into the room and let Teal’s body slide down mine seductively. When her feet were on the floor, our bodies still plastered together, I leaned over and rubbed my nose with hers sweetly. Then I gave her a quick kiss on the lips before grabbing her hips and turning her around.
