"I just want to make sure." I smiled at him.
"Fine," he said. "You want to call Alice while I go get my laptop?"
"Sounds good." I grabbed my phone and called Alice.
"Hey, what's going on?"
"Guess what?"
"Um, I have no idea. And I can't even guess. You've already had a crazy evening."
"I know," I said, laughing, "but everything's better now. Well, kind of. I spoke to Oliver, and he's going to get your ticket."
"He what? No, Rosalie. I can't have him buy my ticket."
"It's fine. He's not using cash or anything. He's going to use credit card points, and you know credit card points are like free money."
"I don't know about that, but he doesn't mind?" She sounded surprised.
"Yeah, right?"
"So what happened tonight? Are you—?"
"I can't really say anything right now," I whispered into the phone, "but I'll tell you more tomorrow. Okay?"
"Okay. So what are you doing?"
"We're going to get your ticket. Then we're going to watch a movie, and we ordered some food."
"Ooh, what did you get?"
"Pizza and chicken wings." I sighed.
"Why are you sighing?" Oliver was standing next to me. He had his laptop in his hands.
"Well, I kind of wanted french fries as well, and I wish I would have asked you to see if they had any."
He looked at me with wide eyes. "Seriously? We got pizza, cheese sticks, chicken wings, cinnamon sticks, and the 7UP. And you want french fries as well?"
"Hey, what can I say? I love me some fries."
"You really want them?" he said.
"I mean, I did, but it's too late now."
"It's never too late." He picked up his phone and called the number again. "Hi. I just placed an order for Oliver James. Yeah. I'd like to order some french fries as well, if you have them."
I stared at him in surprise. Alice gasped into the phone. "Is he ordering french fries for you? No way."
"I'm shook right now," I said in shock.
"You’re shook?" Alice said. "I'm shook. How sweet is that of him?"
"I know. I can't believe it."
He hung up the phone. "Done. Please don't say you wanted to order garlic bread or something else."
"I'm okay. Thanks. I really appreciate it, Oliver."
