"You're welcome. You've had a crazy evening, and well, this is my way of saying sorry."

"It's okay." I grinned at him. We just stared at each other for a couple of seconds, and I wondered if he was going to lean down and kiss me.

"Are you still there, Rosalie?" Alice said into my ear, and I laughed.

"Oh yeah. Sorry. I almost forgot I was on the phone with you. Oliver's bringing up his laptop now. I just wanted to make sure we had all your information correct for when we get the flight."

"You're getting the flight now?" She sounded as surprised as Oliver had.

"Yeah. There's no time like the present."

"I guess," she said.

"So when can you come?"

"I guess in a couple of days. Is that okay?"

"Of course. Oliver said he's also going to pick you up. So—"

"Oh my gosh. He really doesn't have to do that." She paused. "So what did Foster say?"

"What do you mean, what did Foster say?"

"About me coming. Is he happy or…"

I frowned as I made a face. "I don't know. Foster doesn't even know." I looked at Oliver, slightly concerned. "Should we tell Foster about this?"

"It's fine. I'll call him tomorrow."

"Okay. Sounds good."

Alice sighed. "Oh, so he doesn't even know."

"No, but who cares? By the time he gets back from his work trip, we'll probably already have jobs, so we can find our own place, and—"

"You two can stay here as long as you want," Oliver said quickly. "You don't have to rush out and get your own place."

"I mean, we're going to need to have a place of our own at some point. This apartment isn't really big enough for four people. Plus, I don't know how Foster will feel about both Alice and me being here."

"Do you think he'll be mad?" Alice asked.

"I don't know," I said. "Why?"

"Just wondering," she said quickly.

"Oh, okay." I looked at Oliver as he opened his laptop. "See if you can find any flights coming up, maybe next weekend."

"Okay. Saturday?"

"Sure. That work for you, Alice?"

"Yeah, that sounds good."

"Do you prefer to fly in the morning or the evening?"

"Whatever works best for you guys."

"Um, I guess whatever works best for you, Oliver. She's very flexible."
