“Where’s everyone going?” Asher asked when he and Jade walked back over. “Are we invited?”

“I was just going to tell you. Josh suggested we go dolphin watching.” I looked to Jade, then Asher. “Are you interested in coming? You looked like you were having your own fun out there.”

“We were talking about how awkward it was sitting at the table,” Jade said. “I kinda felt bad. They looked so uncomfortable.”

“Agreed. Thankfully, Josh realized it too and made the suggestion.” I laughed. “You two could have helped, you know.”

“I was having a little fun with Jade. We were bonding.” Asher elbowed Jade and they laughed.

“You were bonding over my misery? Real nice. Thanks.” I joined them laughing. “Come on, you guys have to come or someone might be walking the plank.”

“But will it be you?” Asher chuckled, following me. “Jade, you don’t have to captain the boat this time. Have you been on the yacht yet?”

“No, I haven’t. I’ve been curious to see it,” Jade said.

“Oh, so you do like things money can buy. You know, fancy yachts?” I said sarcastically.

“Actually, I was curious what engine it has and what it can do,” Jade said. “You’re still Fancy Yacht Boy, but it’s okay. It’s a real nice boat.”

Aunt Victoria decided to sit out the dolphin watching. She had phone calls to deal with and I suspected she wanted to be sure everything was finalized and the girls’ luggage was unpacked.

As weird as they are acting, I suspect they wont like their bags being unpacked for them.

We spent the next hour cruising the ocean, watching dolphins jump and play. You could always find them out here.

“If you look right ahead of us there is a school of sharks.” I stood at the railing, pointing. “Sarah, you like diving, come see this reef.”

“Will we get a chance to dive to that reef?” Sarah asked. “Those sharks look like this is their domain.”

“It is. I come here often to try and dive, but they come in by the masses before I even get down there.” I pointed to a second school of them. “We can try this week. I have some Marine Special Forces here and they can guard the area while we dive.”

Nadia and Tina joined me and Sarah at the railing while Rebecca lounged in a chair, rather uninterested. I decided to see if there was something wrong.

“Hey, you, mind if I sit with you for a few minutes?” I stood waiting on her answer. “Or would you like to come see the dolphins?”

“It’s your yacht. Sawyer, you can sit if you want to. I’m sorry I’m no fun. I hadn’t realized I would get motion sick.” Rebecca had her head back and eyes closed. “It’ll be okay, I’ll just know to take something for it for next time.”

“I guess you don’t get out on boats much?” I waved Josh over. “Why don’t you go inside with Josh. He has medication that can help.”

“I’m really sorry. I’m usually more fun than this,” Rebecca apologized again. “Can we chat later, back at the house?”

“I’ll be there, just find me when you feel up to it.” I helped her stand and passed her off to Josh. “He’ll take real good care of you, I promise.”

The other three girls appeared to be enjoying watching the dolphins from the railing. I looked around but couldn’t find Asher and Jade.

Now where did those two go?

“Sawyer, come join us.” Tina called out. “Sarah mentioned Marine Special Forces being here. Is it not safe here?”

“Oh, nothing like that. It’s just good to have protection around when you’re on a private island.” I leaned on the railing between two of them. “They’re not here when it’s just the men but, with you girls here, I wanted to be safe.”

“I was wondering about that,” Sarah said. “I read up on this area and apparently there are real-life pirates out here.”

“Like pirate, pirates with gold teeth and all?” Tina chuckled. “If so, maybe we can find Captain Jack and invite him in for a drink.”

“I’m wounded by that remark. You would choose him over me?” I put a hand to my heart, then shrugged. “Yeah, I’d invite him in, too.”

I motioned up to the bridge for Captain Jim to turn the boat toward home, but he wasn’t up there.
