“Nope! A whole lot of nope!” I can hear Kris as he goes by. Popping my head around the curtain, he’s got his hand up headed for the door.
I fall against the couch as Markka and his crew leave. I was late on my meds all day today because by the time Kris or I could get to them, well it doesn’t matter. What matters now is that I apparently need to rest from all the excitement.
I swear I changed so many freaking times. Each time my tops were too snug. I knew my bras were a little snug but I just chalked it up to shrinking in the wash. We were supposed to be going out but I’ll be staying here. More than likely Kris and I will watch a movie or something. I think maybe I just need a moment before we go again.
Kris drops next to me, putting his head on my slumped shoulder, basically melting against me. “Do you need cuddles? Because I think I need cuddles. I miss Cat. It’s weird going to the bathroom alone.” He huffs.
“I’m not going to the bathroom with you.”
He chuckles, “You won’t fit on my shoulder anyway.” A huge sigh is followed by a raspberry sound. “I just want to get naked, into bed with you and nosh like a gallon of ice cream. How does that sound?”
“Considering we’ve been late on my meds all day, that’s about all we’ll be doing. My heart feels like it’s doing somersaults in my chest. Markka knows.”
“I figured that out when he started calling me Papi. He won’t say anything, not if he wants to keep the commissions from Vagrant. He’s signed ironclad NDA’s.” Kris’ arm slips under me as he stands lifting me to him, chest to chest he kisses me gently. “I’m gonna run down to the bodega, get us a half of chocolate and a half of salted caramel. Maybe a bag of Ruffles. You are going to go get naked and find either a playlist or something mindless to watch. Okay?” He smiles brightly.
“I’m just going to run through the shower while you’re gone. I smell like new clothes.”
He nods letting me go. “If you think of anything else you want, just text me.”
“Just ice cream, rest and you.” I kiss him.
