I drop the vibrator, losing all focus as I curve my hand against her face, the need to possess her completely overwhelming. “You are mine, Paisley.” I stare into her eyes as I drive into her. “Your mouth is mine.” I claim her lips, slicking my tongue against hers. I reach between us, dragging my fingers over where my body impales hers. “Your pussy is mine.” I reach farther, rubbing my slick fingers over her asshole. “Your ass is mine.”

I fuck her harder than I should, but she’s still holding me tight, eyes fixed on my face.

“Say it.” I grit it out between clenched teeth, balls pulling tight.

“I’m yours.” This time she doesn’t make me wait.

“Again.” My vision narrows until she’s all there is. Her body. Her scent. Her voice.

“I’m yours.” Her palms come to my face. “I’m yours.”

“Mine.” My hand goes around her neck as I shove deep into her, heat pulsing from my cock, filling the condom as I come, thrusting against her as pleasure overwhelms me.

Claims me.

Ruins me.

I struggle to catch my breath, stroking against her face as I lean into my elbow, fighting for air.

Fighting for clarity.

This wasn’t how I intended for that to go.

But it seems like it never is with her.

“Did I hurt you?” I brace for the answer as I pull from her body.

I should have been more careful.

I planned to be.

When I found her vibrator in the drawer of her pressboard nightstand I knew it would come in handy.

That it could help get me from where I was to where I wanted to be.

But it isn’t a miracle worker.

Paisley sits up as I move away. “No.” She frowns at me. “Did I hurt you?”

I laugh. I can’t help it. “Did you just ask if you hurt me?” I reach down to slide off the spent condom as she nods. “No. You didn’t.” I turn to go to the bathroom.

“Are you sure, because it looks a little like I hurt you.” She’s staring at my back with horror in her eyes.

I twist to try to see what she’s seeing but end up having to go into the bathroom to check out my reflection in the mirror.

A row of tiny half-moons is indented in the skin of my shoulders, each one red and irritated looking.

“I did hurt you, didn’t I?” Paisley pads into the bathroom, her fingers coming to stroke over the marks. “I’m so sorry. I didn’t realize I was—”

“There’s nothing to be sorry for.” I turn toward her, wrapping one hand around the back of her head and pulling her in for a kiss. “You can’t hurt me.”

The statement would have been true a month ago.

A week ago even.

But now…

Now it might not be.

Now Paisley might be the one thing that could hurt me.

And the one thing someone else could use against me.
