I don’t fuck around for long. I’m just here to get off and fill her with cum, which is easy enough to do with the way her body clings to mine and she cries so prettily beneath me. When I pull out, I sigh. “Yeah, so… You’re gonna have to clean my cock off. I don’t have time to take a shower, and I sure as hell don’t want two other guys’ cum on me all day. That’s just gross, right?”

She stares at me, uncomprehending at first, but I grab her by the hair and pull her up.

“Kneel in front of me and suck me clean,” I order her. It’s sort of cute how she hesitates and falters, how those tears run more quickly down her cheeks, and I relish the sight. Too bad I don’t have time for a second round, because I’m pretty sure that mouth of hers could get me up and going in minutes.

“Please don’t,” she whispers, but I stare down at her, quirking a brow. It’s enough to make her obey, and she sobs as she takes the head of my cock into her pretty little mouth.

She’s not fantastic at this, but I already knew as much. It doesn’t matter. I just use her long enough to clean myself off, then I shove her back.

“Okay, get dressed,” I order her, getting up and pulling my pants back up. “You already distracted me long enough, being such a little slut.”

She pulls on the underwear and jeans, her head low and her shoulders slumped as she obeys me.

“Come on. Let’s go. I don’t have any more time to deal with this shit.” I’ll take her to Elena, then it’s time to get to work.

It really was worth being late.

DAMIEN

The first thing I do when I get to Ntimacy is call Paul into the business office. He shifts uncomfortably under my gaze, wiping at the sweat that’s beading up on his forehead.

“You know what the protocol is,” I say. “Why didn’t you follow it?”

Paul looks around the room, as if there were something that could help him. But it’s just the two of us. Donny is downstairs, managing the floor, and Giulio went home, citing a need to “unwind.” Although Paul should be glad that Giulio isn’t here.

“Cat panicked,” Paul hedges. “And I didn’t want to give the cop time to report to his buddies.”

“If you’d called somebodyyesterday, maybe it wouldn’t have been this dire.” I keep my eyes on him. I’ve found that simple eye contact can leave people squirming, without me doing anything at all.

“But Giulio… Giulio said I shouldn’t… bother him. For things.” Paul coughs into his hand. “I’ll call… you? …next time?”

“Paul.” I drum my fingers against the desk, and Paul flinches. “Giulio wants you to do your job. That’s twice now that you’ve shown a distinct lack of managerial skills. When you were promoted into this position, you assured me—you assuredGiulio—you could handle it. But maybe you’d be better positioned as a low-level enforcer. A job that’s less taxing on your mental faculties.”

It takes Paul a few seconds to realize I’ve insulted him. He stiffens, but to his credit he doesn’t snap back at me. “No, sir. I… Icanhandle it. It won’t happen again.”

“If it were up to me, you wouldn’t be here anymore. But Giulio still has fond memories of your brother, and it’s only in service to his memory that you’re here.” I wait a few moments for the relief, the sense of security, to settle on Paul, then I add, “However, Giulio is a practical man too. Another mistake like this, and you won’t simply be demoted. Giulio willhave funwith you.”

“Wh-what’s that mean?” Paul asks, backing up a few steps.

I shrug. “Whatever Giulio wants it to mean. Although lately, his fun includes Slayer.”

That makes Paul’s face pale. “G-got it.”

I suppose that’s enough to scare Paul, although I still think he’s a liability. I know Giulio agrees, but he’d truly liked Paul’s brother, enough to try to do right by the rest of his family.

Giulio does like to take care of people.

I wait until Paul figures out we’re done and scurries away. Then I sigh and glance at my watch. Nearly 11 p.m.

Giulio and I had been in and out of various meetings, overseeing a new operation, and of course, I’d had to figure out how to clean up the damn body.

The corpse is well on its way out of the state, though, to be chopped up and buried in different places. We’d removed the teeth and burned off the identifying marks we could find, and at this point there’s not much more we can do.

Too bad he hadn’t had a cell phone on him, or we could have sent a few texts to put people off the trail. He hadn’t even driven there, though, which was a small blessing because we hadn’t had to deal with a car on top of everything else.

What a fucking mess.
