“They told their mom a while ago that you were. At least that’s what Bee said.”

“You never told me that,” Cam said.

“I know. I was trying to make it a reality before I mentioned it.”

“Did you make it a reality?” Cam arched one eyebrow.

“I did. After last night, I’m positive I’m not sharing you. I mean I knew before last night but now that’s settled. No more running, right? I can’t lose you again. I wouldn’t survive it. I barely survived the last time.”

She ran her fingers through my beard, which had quickly become my new favorite thing and pulled me to her.

“No running,” she whispered against my lips.

“Good night, baby girl,” I said and kissed Fee on the cheek. “And thank you for my birthday gift.”

“You’re welcome, Daddy,” Fee said and climbed into her bed.

“Good night, munchkin,” I said to Skye and kissed her cheek. “Thank you for my birthday gift. You both made my birthday very special.”

“You’re welcome, Daddy,” Skye responded. “And Daddy?”

“Yes?”

“I like you with Ms. Cam. You seem happier when she is around,” Skye said.

“Yeah, you be smiling a lot and laughing and stuff,” Fee added.

“I like her a lot,” I responded.

“I like her too!” Fee said.

“I do, too,” Skye finished.

“Good, so you don’t mind if she’s around a lot more often?”

“I don’t mind,” Skye said.

“I don’t mind either,” Fee said.

“Cool, good night. I love you!”

“Love you too,” they both responded.

You up? – Morris

I was laying in my bed trying to figure out a way to get to him. I knew he had to get the girls prepared for school next week, so I didn’t want to disturb him.

After he and the girls left my place, I cleaned up and didn’t know what to do with myself. I kept having flashbacks to my night with Morris, the way he kissed me. The way he touched me. The way “baby” rolled off his lips and made me feel special.

I was excited that he’d sent a text before he went to sleep.

Yep.

Come over. - Morris
