“We’re here. I’m going to take off your blindfold, but keep your eyes closed, okay?” She nods, a huge smile on her face. I gently untie the blindfold and can’t resist brushing my lips against hers. “No peeking,” I warn. She giggles, and I smile as I slip my phone from my pocket, pulling up “Perfect” by Ed Sheeran. Pressing play, I reach for the ring and drop to one knee.

“Open your eyes, Hallie.” I watch her face as her eyes open and fix on me. Her hand covers her mouth when she sees me down on one knee.

“Sawyer,” she whispers, her voice breaking.

“Hallie, I love you so much. You are the person I never knew I needed, and now I can’t imagine my life without you. You inspire me every day to be a better man, and if you’ll have me, I’ll spend the rest of my life showing you exactly what you mean to me. Will you marry me, baby?”

Tears stream down her cheeks, and she drops to her knees in front of me.

“Yes, yes, yes,” she exclaims through her tears as she throws her arms around me. “I love you,” she whispers in my ear.

“I love you too.” Pulling back, I reach for her left hand and slide the diamond solitaire ring onto her finger. Bringing her hand to my mouth, I brush my lips over the ring.

“Let’s not wait too long to get married. I can’t wait for you to be my wife,” I tell her as I stand up and pull her with me.

“I’d marry you right now if I could, Sawyer. I can’t believe how amazing this is. You’re playing the first song we ever danced to, and you’ve brought me here as you know how special this place is to me. You’re incredible.”

“Not as incredible as you. Dance with me?” I wrap my arms around her, dancing to ‘our’ song as the sun sets over the ocean.

“You okay, man? You’ve gone quiet. Not getting cold feet, are you?” Logan asks, pulling me from my memories.

“What? No way! I was thinking back to the night I proposed,” I tell him.

“I’m happy for you, Sawyer. I don’t think I’ve ever seen two people so in love. You certainly proved me wrong.” He pulls me into a one-armed hug as we reach the beach.

Pulling out of the embrace, I cast my eyes over to where I will marry the love of my life. It looks incredible. A raised floral archway sits a little away from the crashing waves, and rows of white chairs are laid out for the guests. Pink rose petals line the aisle, the flowers matching the archway. It’s perfect, and Hallie is going to love it.

Ten minutes later, all the guests have taken their seats. Nervous excitement swirls in my stomach, and I can’t wait to see Hallie. As the music starts, the guests stand, and I look over my shoulder, watching Jess walking up the aisle. She looks beautiful, and my eyes flick to Grayson, who can’t take his eyes off her. Kitty and Brooke follow Jess, and my eyes drop to the small bump Brooke is sporting. She looks even more beautiful pregnant, and I couldn’t be happier for her and Liam.

Tears well in my eyes as Hallie comes into view, her arm linked with Brett’s. As she walks down the aisle, her eyes lock with mine, and she takes my breath away. She looks stunning in her strapless lace gown. Her hair is swept up off her neck, and she’s carrying pink roses in her hand.

“You look beautiful, Hallie,” I whisper as she comes to stand next to me. She smiles, and my heart races.

“You look pretty good yourself.” Her hand finds mine, and we turn to face the officiant. Minutes later, we have exchanged vows, and I hear the words I’ve been waiting to hear since the day I met her.

“I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss your bride,” the officiant says, a smile on her face.

“Finally,” I whisper as I slide my hand around Hallie’s neck. My lips find hers, and I kiss her deeply. Applause erupts around us, and she smiles against my lips.

“I love you, Mrs. Mitchell.”

“And I love you, Mr. Mitchell.”

I fell in love with Hallie not long after we met, and I didn’t think I could love her more, but with each passing day, my love for her grows. I know I’ll love her more tomorrow than I do today.

They sayhome is where the heart is, and my heart beats for Hallie, and it always will.
