Chapter 6

Savvy

I get off the elevator and look for Peter, I find him at the check in desk helping a customer out. He really is a good-looking man, and he knows it. He notices me and comes over to where I am.

“Going out on another date?”

“Yes.”

“You’ll be married in six months or less.”

“Stop it Peter, that man is not the marrying type.”

“Think so?”

“Yes.”

“Have you slept with him?”

“And how is that your business?”

“It’s not now answer the question.”

I shake my head at his nosey ass.

“No, Peter I haven’t slept with him.”

“Has he even tried?”

“No, he’s been a perfect gentleman.”

“Hmm.”

“That doesn’t necessarily mean anything Peter.”

“Tell me something Savvy.”

“Yes?”

“How long have you been a man?”

“Really, Peter”

“Really Savvy!”

“I’ve never been a man, smart ass.”

“Then you can’t tell me about a man.”

“I wasn’t trying to”.

“You sure?”

I just clamp my mouth closed because I am not going to win against Peter.

“He is doing an ancient ritual that many people have forgotten about and most never get the pleasure of experiencing.”

My eyebrows touch my hairline because I am genuinely curious about what Peter is talking about.
