Lia pointed to the screen.
Tears shone in Ariana’s eyes.
Damon raced over to look.
The screen showed a bloody shirt.
“Is that Rita’s?” he asked.
Ari and Lia both nodded yes.
Damon pulled Ariana into an embrace. “Are you sure? Maybe it just looks like one she owns.”
“Did you see her initials monogrammed on it?” Lia asked, sniffling.
“I don’t know why she’d be wearing it,” Ariana said. “She hated that thing. Said it was Boone’s way of trying to show ownership over her.”
“He really is a piece of crap, isn’t he?” Damon said.
“It’s looking more like he’s worse than we ever thought possible,” she said.
