Lia arched her brows. “Really?”
“That’s how he proved himself innocent of abducting Rita. He couldn’t have taken her then, because he had receipts proving he was out buying fire accelerants at the time.”
“When did you find this out?”
“It doesn’t matter,” Ari said. “I need to see my house.”
“Of course.” Lia ordered people out of their way as they maneuvered through the crowd.
Several large hoses sprayed water at her house. Others showered neighboring homes, including Lia and Charles’s, to protect them from the flames destroying everything Ariana and Damon owned.
She looked around for Boone.
The weasel was nowhere in sight.
