“How can I help you, sir?” Serena rushed to the next table. After only an hour of work, she was already exhausted. She hadn’t slept a wink.
“I’ll have the eighteen-year-old Jameson,” the man replied.
Serena’s eyes flew to his face and his companion’s. It was Miles and Caleb.
Her face lit up like a Christmas tree. “How did you know I worked here?” she cooed.
“You don’t need to concern yourself with that,” Caleb replied smoothly.
“We’ve booked the Gold Coast Suite for the night,” said Miles with a boyish grin.
Serena’s heart sank. They were with another woman. She couldn’t hide her disappointment that her doubts had proven true.
“I thought you would be excited.” Miles looked dismayed.
Serena frowned at him, perplexed.
“I mean, I know there’s no equipment here…” he went on, “but we thought it would be fun anyway.”
She continued to stare.
“We thought maybe we could have a vanilla night,” Caleb explained.
Suddenly, it dawned on Serena that they meant with her.
“Me?” she asked, coquettishly. “Vanilla?”
They laughed, flashing brilliant white teeth.
“Vanilla? Not hardly!” she bubbled.
“Well, I’m sure we can think of a few ways to spice it up…”
“Hot candles, wine bottles, ice buckets, corkscrews, shoe laces,” she listed. “I can do amazingly kinky things with ordinary household items,” she bragged.
“I bet you can.” Caleb’s eyes glowed. “I can’t wait to find out.”
“Feather duster, toothbrush…”
“Toothbrush, eh?”
Her eyes shimmered.
“I work until midnight.” She looked at the clock. “That’s six hours from now. You two sure you can wait that long?”
“For you, Serena Richardson,” he said charmingly, “we would wait six years.”
Her skin tingled.
“However…” his voice trailed off. “Tonight, you are not working.”
“I have to work,” she said with embarrassment.
“Our sub never has to work,” they spoke in unison, whisking off her apron and tossing it on the table.
Caleb stood up and put his arm around her. “Sir!” he called the bar manager over.
Robert rushed to accommodate this obviously wealthy client.
