“I want this, too, by the way. I didn’t say it back there but you kind of caught me by surprise.”

“Sorry. I just wasn’t willing to wait. I didn’t have to think about it. It’s my life and I’m ready to start living it.”

“And here I had this whole elaborate speech planned out in case you didn’t change your mind before we had to head back to LA.”

“Oh really?” I say, leaning out of his embrace so I can stare into his gorgeous eyes. “Can I hear it?”

“I think I’ll save it just in case.”

“I’m not going to change my mind, Eli, but I do want to talk to you about boundaries.” His eyebrow flies up, a curious look consuming his beautiful face. “During the day, we are co-workers, nothing more. I need to be able to separate work from my personal life.”

“And at night?” he asks, lowering his voice to barely above a whisper as he leans in close. “What then? If we’re not co-workers?”

“We’re whatever we want to be when the cameras stop rolling.”

“Are they rolling right now?” he asks, peppering the side of my neck with kisses.

“Yes, but we’re technically on break, so …” I let my voice trail off, giving Eli permission to continue kissing me. Not that he was showing any signs of stopping.

“You do realize we have to be back on set in twenty minutes, right?” he asks, the sound of his voice muffled against my collarbone as he pulls the neck of my shirt aside.

Shaking my head, I block out everything but the feel of his body against mine, his lips on my skin, the way his hands are caressing my back as his head dips lower.

Then my phone vibrates, once again popping the little bubble I keep putting us in.

Eli’s hands fall to his side as I step back out of his embrace. Unlocking my phone as soon as I reach it, I have three missed calls and seven texts.

All from Ansen.

All wanting to know where I am.

“I have to go,” I state, sliding my phone in my pocket.

“Can we continue this later?” he asks, holding the door open for me as we leave my room.

“Do you agree to my terms?”

“Yes. I actually think it’s a good idea.”

“Then yes, we can continue this after we wrap for the night.”

In fact, I like the idea very much.
