"Always?"

"Every night. In the middle of the afternoon. When I space out at work. It's always you."

Julian pounces, causing me to suck in a startled breath. His body is hovering over mine, his stare penetrating me to the core.

"How long?"

This is going to be embarrassing.

"It started this summer."

"More specifically?"

Thinking back, I try to remember the first night I dreamt of my mystery man. I didn't know who he was back then, so I didn't make much of the dreams. As the pieces start to fall in place, my mouth drops open in shock.

"Do you remember the morning we all showed up at the campgrounds?"

"You fell asleep on my shoulder."

"That night was the first dream, only you didn't have a face. I didn't know who you were. I thought I was dreaming about some mystery guy because all my friends had fallen in love and coupled up. And my parents—"

Stopping myself before I can say the words, I close my eyes and inhale a deep breath, letting it out slowly. When I open my eyes again, Julian's still staring down at me, only his face has inched closer.

"And when did you realize it was me?"

"At the Palmers’ party. You called me pretty girl, and the truth came crashing down on me. Because in my dream, that's what he called me."

"I've always called you my pretty girl, Piper."

"Yes, but I hadn't talked to you since that morning."

"What happens in these dreams?" Julian leans in closer, his body brushing against mine as he waits for me to answer. He moves his knee between my legs, and I open for him, earning me that wicked grin of his I've come to love so much. "Tell me, pretty girl. Tell me what we do in these dreams of yours. I'd love nothing more than to make them come true."

"I bet you would." My words die on my lips as he presses his body against mine, his erection hitting my throbbing core. It takes every ounce of willpower I have to swallow the moan that wants to be freed. When he thrusts a second time, I can't hold it back.

"Is this what we do?"

"Yes." My voice is breathy, my breathing increasing as he continues to thrust, hitting the perfect spot over and over again.

"What about this?" His question is rhetorical as his lips crash against mine.

I want to tell him this is so much better than any of the dreams I've had. His thrusts are timed perfectly with his kisses, as if it's a choreographed dance.

Wrapping my legs around his waist, I thrust against him and feel his body stiffen in response.

Slowly releasing my lips, Julian pulls back until we're staring into each other’s eyes. His are filled with lust, the normally rich brown a dark and stormy black. Knowing my eyes are a window to my soul, I can only imagine what they're showing him.

My pent-up frustrations. Growing need. Where I want this to go next.

Just as he opens his mouth to say something, there's a knock at the door followed by a snide comment by Brady.

"You two planning on staying in there all day, or did you want breakfast?"

He knows I'm here. Well, he knows someone is here.

Did he hear us? Were we being loud?

"Breakfast in ten," he announces when neither of us speak up.
