"I thought you wanted a taco?" I ask, but she's already walking away. When she glances over her shoulder, her eyes focused behind me, I realize why.

I feel him approach, the warmth of his body surrounding mine.

"I like tacos."

"Is that code word for pussy? Because if so, mine isn't available." I don't bother to turn around as I sling the insult at him.

"It's not, but I also like pussy," he whispers, leaning so close to my ear I feel his breath fan across my cheek.

"Why don't you go find yourself some then."

My goal was to push him away, but my voice lacked conviction. When his hands land on my hips, steering me out of line and behind the nearest tent, my senses start to go haywire.

Stopping as soon as we round the corner, Leo spins me in place and pulls me close to his body. "Found some."

"Are you sure about that? I'd hate for your pretty face to be broken and bruised." Lifting my head, I stare into his gorgeous honey-brown eyes. Eyes I've been dreaming about for a week without fail. "You're looking at me."

"I am."

"Touching me." To emphasize his point, he slips his thumbs under my sweatshirt and runs them over my hip bones, drawing circles, his touch heating my skin more than it already is from his proximity.

"What else am I doing, angel?"

"Nothing. And you won't. Because you don't have a death wish, remember?"

"I think I'd like to reevaluate my position on that."

"Who says I'm still interested?"

My voice lacks the bitchy tone I was going for, instead sounding breathy, needy, and ready to combust under his gaze. It's a direct reflection of how I feel right now.

"Your body says you're still interested. The way you're looking at me, pleading with me to kiss you."

Arrogant ass.

Not that he's wrong. I would love nothing more than for him to kiss me. To feel his lips pressed against mine. To be wrapped in his arms.

But I can't tell him that.

So instead, I laugh and attempt to step out of his embrace, but he doesn't let me go. His large hands grip my hips to keep me from running.

"I need to find my roommate before my brother finds you. I'd hate to feel responsible for your death."

His eyes never leave mine as his hands fall to his sides. I will my feet to move, but I'm in a trance. My eyes searching his for answers, for the truth. His searching mine for something similar.

Permission, maybe?

I finally break the spell he has on me, getting back in line for the taco truck. I never see him emerge from behind the tent. Not as I wait. Not after I've received my order. Not even once Sierra has rejoined me ten minutes later with a slice of pizza for each of us.

"Where did he go?"

"I don't know."

"And..."

"What, Sierra?" My eyes are glued to the small walkway between the tents, praying for any sign of him.

"What happened? You look upset."
