My two minutes are up, and I rush back into play, catching the puck from Hunter. I take it across the ice, skating to the left. I pass it off to Lenox, who takes it behind the net.
He comes around and scores, winning us the game in the last five seconds.
We pile on Lenox, cheering loudly like the fans.
This ensures we’ll go to the tournament. I love this game.
Also love that my girl loves this game. Shit. Our girl. We haven’t really talked to her about it, and I hope we don’t scare her off. Can’t wait to see her, to celebrate.
