“What? Are you married? Did you lie?” He grabbed my shoulders and stepped back, trying to see my face.

Shaking my head, I stared at my brown sandals. “No, I didn’t lie. I was engaged to be married when I found out I had cancer.”

“He left you when you told him...wait...you said I was the first person you told. He didn’t know you had cancer, did he?”

“No. I couldn’t tell him.”

“You broke up with him with no explanation?”

“Told him I had second thoughts and needed time away from him. Once, he stopped by my place unannounced when my hair had already started falling out. Scared, I refused to open the door. I covered my mouth so he couldn’t hear me crying as he pleaded with me to open the door. The kind of man he is, Nico continued to call me every day, and once he realized I wasn’t picking up anymore, he stopped. I thought it hurt every time he called, but when he stopped....” I sniffed. “Three months ago, I ran into him at a coffee house with his fiancé, and whatever hope I had that we might end up together shriveled up inside. Now you’re making me feel again, yet you don’t want anything more. You won’t even give us a chance.”

Bakari whistled before he took my hand. “Come on, let’s go back to my suite.”

I took my hand back and folded my arms. “If you want to stay, I can go to the suite alone. I can tell you like dancing. Don’t want to mess up your fun.”

He frowned. “I’m not trying to hook up with another woman. Why else would I stay while you go?” Then he tugged on my folded arms. “You’ve been alone for almost two years now. You don’t need more time to be alone to feel sorry for yourself.”

I snapped. “Stop acting as if you know me after four damn days.”

His jaw tightened. “Idoknow how lonely it can be to isolate yourself from everyone. Something that you’ve grown into a habit of doing. I’ve noticed that you don’t have anyone checking for you except your brother, either.”

“Like you have people checking for you. Not even your girlfriend calls you. Pretending you got it all together when the truth is you’re just as lost as the rest of us.”

“I see I triggered you. Fine. Go back to the room. I’ll stay.” He stormed off in the restaurant's direction but walked past it into the darkness instead of going back inside.

“Fuck.” He had struck a very raw nerve, and I lashed out at him. I bumped my partially revealed toe on the cement, angry at myself for reacting the way I did. I’d pushed him away like I’d done everyone else. I could go back to the room, sulk, or be different and go after him. We only had two more whole days together, and I didn’t want to spend them angry with each other. Despite the darkness, I rushed in the direction he’d just gone.

“Miss, hold on.” Someone grabbed my wrist. A guy, with his black shirt unbuttoned to his navel, probably in his early forties standing near the restaurant entrance, smiled.

“I’m looking for someone.” I pulled my wrist from his grip and took a step away.

He took my hand and smiled lecherously. “That dude is gone. You’re looking for me.”

“The hell I am.” I snatched my hand back, and when I tried to walk away, he grabbed me again and pulled me closer. I could smell the alcohol. “You’re drunk. Let me go before I scream.” Even in his stupor, he was stronger. I struggled to free myself and was about to scream when Bakari came out of nowhere and shoved the man away from me. He stumbled backward, and using my own fury, I punched the hell out of that man’s face. The man fell to the ground, and a small crowd gathered. I grabbed Bakari’s hand. “Let’s go. Not trying to get arrested in Jamaica for assault or get caught on video.” And we took off fast down the path toward the suites laughing.

I touched his cheek when we were far away from the restaurant. “Sorry.”

“Me too.” He growled in my ear, “I need to fuck you so bad.” Bakari then led me off the path into the darkness until we encountered a large tree.

“And I need you to fuck me hard...all that aggression shouldn’t go to waste.” I turned around and raised my dress. He sharply inhaled when he noticed I’d chosen not to wear panties.

“You mean I had easy access to your pussy all night, and I didn’t know it?” His palm struck my ass hard. The stinging pain only added fuel to my raging fire. “Mm...now I have to punish you.”

I hugged the tree anxiously, anticipating the surge of his dick hitting my sweet spot. He soon tossed the wrapper, and we both purred contentment within seconds when he joined his body to mine. We both desperately needed release from the adrenaline that continued to pump through our veins. Bakari moved in and out of me, getting into a clit-stimulating rhythm. At the same time, he pulled his soft cotton shirt off to place it between my cheek and bosom and the surprisingly smooth bark of the tree.

“Time to show me how nasty you can be,” he warned right before he pushed my ass up higher, his height forcing me to stand on my tiptoes. Bakari spread my legs wider and began pounding me at a break-neck pace. A pace that almost seemed inhuman. If he hadn’t placed his shirt between me and the tree, I would have marks on my cheeks and chest at the fierceness in every thrust. My arms had to hold my body up, and my legs could not stand unassisted. I quivered all over from the aggressiveness, the ruthlessness he exhibited to my wanting and eager pussy. Over and over again, he fucked me until his body was wracked with spasms, motivating him to hammer me even faster, each thrust more powerful than the last. The adrenaline rush was now becoming an orgasmic one for us. I tried to match his pelvic movements, urging him to come before me. I failed as my legs and arms gave out when cum burst from me suddenly, and I screamed his name in pleasure. He held me up with one hand gripping my right hip and continued to pump until he roared.
