“I know you fuck, Stella.”

“I’m not fucking my publisher.”

He leaned in closer. He’s going to kiss me. I suddenly went into freak out mode. I pushed him away and jumped out of my chair.

“NO!”

Grabbing my purse I said, “Have a good day, Drew.”

I leave to catch a cab back to my hotel.

I’m partially relieved and partially disappointed when Jamie is not in the lobby. Relieved because he’s so intense and makes me feel things that scare me. Disappointed because I want to see him again. I bite my lip, thinking about his mouth on mine.

I walk up to my room and realize I have to figure out what to wear tonight. Looking in the closet, I go with a tiny black skirt and a backless red sleeveless top with a plunging neckline. After selecting my clothes, I get to work. These chapters will not write themselves. Hearing a ping from my phone, I look to see who it’s from. Jamie.

From: Jamie… Meet me in my room at 7. Any likes or dislikes?

To: Jamie… In your room? That sounds dangerous. How do I know you’re not a serial killer?

From: Jamie… I write about serial killers. I am not one. Yes, in my room. I don’t want to share you with other people tonight. I saw how Drew looked at you.

Oh, he was jealous. I didn’t imagine that. I hate jealous men, so why am I so pleased? I think this dinner might be dangerous for me. I think this man might be dangerous for me.

To: Jamie… I’m sorry. I need to cancel tonight. Something came up.

No response. He must be pissed at me. I continue working and glance at the clock. It’s almost 7 and no response. He’s definitely pissed. I’m so tempted to go to his room, but I canceled. He feels so different from the others and that scares me so much. I can’t risk falling for him. It’s nothing. It’s just sexual chemistry. I’ve never fallen for anyone. So what am I so afraid of? It’s his intensity. He pushes me out of my comfort zone.

I take another shower to relax. Getting out of the shower, I wrapped myself in a towel, then towel dried my hair. There’s a knock at the door.

“Who is it?”

“Jamie. Stella, open the door.”

“Did you not get my text?”

“Stella, open the damn door. Yes, I got it.”

Reluctantly, I open the door. He comes in without being invited in and closes the door, “What are you so damn afraid of?”

“I’m not afraid. Something came up, so I had to cancel.”

“A better offer?”

I sigh, “No, of course not, it’s not like that.”

He pushes me against the door, “I’m going to show you what it could be like.”

His tongue is on my neck, trailing up to my ear.

“Stella, it seems like you can’t handle the heat.”

I moan at his breath in my ear.

His mouth is on mine, slow at first, then aggressive, dripping with carnal desire. He moves his hand under my towel and puts it between my legs, “Fuck, so fucking wet.”

He slides two fingers into me, thrusts them into me fast with one thing on his mind. It doesn’t take long until I’m coming and screaming his name. Removing his fingers, he slides them into his mouth seductively, keeping his burning eyes on me.

“Fuck! You taste even better than I imagined you would.” He give me a seductive look, “Do you actually have other plans? If you do, then you need to cancel them. I’m not leaving.”
