"What do you mean?" he asked, standing up straighter.

"They all like me to a certain extent, so what am I supposed to do? I don't even know if they're going to go for what I'm planning..." she muttered. She stared down at her feet as she contemplated her plan. She thought she knew what she wanted, but wouldtheywant the same thing?

"Then we're back to my original question," he grumbled. "Whatare you planning?"

"It’s none of your business," Mykie snapped, bringing her head up to glare at him. "I’m sure you have this messed up opinion of me, but I don’t care. I genuinely like those boys.”

"You've only known them for a few days. Don't tell me that you've 'fallen in love' or some other shit like that," Blaine said, doing air quotes and rolling his eyes at her ridiculous idea.

"I haven't." She looked away and lowered her voice. "But I'd like to."

"Typical girl; Thinking with your feelings instead of your head," he bit out.

"Excuse me?" She asked, shocked. "I'm not 'typical'. Not by a long shot, actually. My life is work-orientated, so I'msorryif it bothers you that I have feelings for once. Didn't know it would offend you so much," she snapped.

"Then why are you here, if you focus solely on your work?"

"Because for once in my life, I'm doing whatIwant. If I want to leave, I'll do it. If I want to march downstairs and kiss one of the boys, I'll do it. If I just want to go to bed, I'll do it." With each sentence, she stepped closer and closer to Blaine until she had a finger jabbed into his chest. "I'll do what I want, and I won't let you make me feel guilty for it or get in my way."

"Is that so?" He smirked and lifted an isolated eyebrow.

"Yes. For someone that doesn't want anything to do with me, you really like to be in my business," she grumbled.

"Who said anything about not wanting anything to do with you?"

"It's not hard to figure out. You've barely spoken to me since meeting each other, and anything you've said to me wasn't that friendly."

"Hmm," he hummed. "I thought this conversation was going great, personally."

She faltered, feeling her anger deflate. "So, you don't have something against me?"

"Oh, I could hold a lot against you. I know you're keeping secrets. You've got some powerful friends from the look of things, too." He grinned.

"What do you know about them?" Mykie questioned, narrowing her eyes.

"Icouldtell you, but where's the fun in that?" He whispered. His dark eyes were practically sparkling with mischief as he watched her. "Especially since you aren't going to reveal anything. I'm not showing my card until you show me yours, Cantil Girl."

Mykie stood there for a moment before nodding and dropped her hand. "Fair enough."

She turned around and looked at the room properly. She'd already seen some of it when she peeked in on Friday, but she was amazed to see that the stuff on walls were photographs of different landscapes. They were beautiful, but one, in particular, caught her eye. It was taken just at the edge of a lake, the trees surrounding it making it look like a secret oasis. The trees were in the perfect stage of Fall where they changed color but still had time before they started to fall off the branches, it seemed. The reds and oranges that circled the lake made a shiver of excitement run down her back. Her favorite time of year was when the leaves changed and when "spring fever" was in the air starting in late March and sometimes early April.

"Did you take these?" she murmured, reaching a hand out to touch the lake one.

He grabbed her wrist and yanked her away. "Don't touch them."

She noticed some photos on the wall behind his bed and on the headboard. These were more personal ones, it seemed. She saw some with Renly and a few of Caspar, but only one of them featured him smiling. It was a small smile, barely noticeable unless someone was looking for it. It was in a picture with Renly and Corbus. Corbus was in the middle and had his arms thrown around both of their shoulders, grinning ear to ear. Renly was also smiling, but Blaine was what caught Mykie's attention. He wasn't looking at the camera but instead the two boys beside him.

"It's sweet how much you care about the other boys," she murmured softly.

"I'm going to bed," Blaine grumbled, looking anywhere but at her. "Don't touch anything you didn't bring with you."

In a matter of seconds, he crossed the room and flicked the light off, casting them in darkness. If it wasn't for the light coming from outside through the crack in the curtains, she wouldn't have been able to see anything in front of her.

She saw him moving beside the bed and looked closer to see what he was doing. When she realized he was stripping, she quickly looked away. "What are you doing?!"

"I sleep in my boxers," he answered as he pulled back the covers. "If you don't like it, leave."

Mykie rolled her eyes. She grabbed her bags and dropped them to the floor, digging her laptop out of its case to distract herself. "You're so grumpy all the time. Are you ever happy?"
