“Yes, for a few different reasons. Emma is responsible for her own actions, but I’d like her to remember that her choices have consequences. I left you in charge, so her reckless behavior has gotten both of you in trouble. In addition, you acted out last night rather than trusting me enough to handle the situation.”

How the hell had Luke gleaned all of that from one simple choice on my part? I blinked at him, amazed at how quickly he put the pieces together. I didn’t realize I’d stopped moving.

“What’s bothering you right now, Lee?”

“You’ve been paying attention. It’s throwing me off.”

“I’m glad you’ve finally noticed.” He kissed me, lingering an extra moment. “Take your pants off and bend over the cushions.”

Obeying, I shucked out of my pants and folded myself into position.

“I-I don’t want to see my daddy get punished,” Emma stammered. “Especially not because of my choices.”

“I think that’s exactly why you need to see. You have your safeword.” Luke stated matter-of-factly. He undid the buckle of his belt, and the sound of leather being pulled through the loops followed.

“May I sit next to Elias and hold his hand?”

“Yes, Emma.” Luke rested his hand on my lower back as he spoke. “I’ll allow it this time.”

She sank down on the cushions, kissing me on each cheek as she shifted around. Offering her hand to me, she waited for me to lace my fingers in hers. Her sweet disposition nearly caused me to cry. I absolutely adored her. A sharp pain hit the fullest part of my bottom cheeks. Breathing through the discomfort, I hoped Emma didn’t think less of me.

“I’m so sorry my behavior put us in this position, Daddies.” Emma sniffled. “Can I take the rest of Elias’ punishment since I was so bad?”

I tightened my grip on her hand. “Absolutely not. There are multiple issues with your statement. You are not bad, Emma. We are all human, and sometimes we make decisions without thinking through the repercussions. The best part about it is that we learn from those decisions regardless of if they were good choices or not. Do you understand, sweetheart?” I kissed the top of her fingers. “I never want to hear you say those words again. You are not bad,” I reiterated.

“Learn from this lesson, darling, but don’t get stuck in it. Okay?” Luke touched the top of her head. “Everything Lee said is true.”

“Thank you for clarifying, Sir,” Emma exhaled slowly. “I apologize for interrupting.”

“You don’t have to apologize. I am proud of you for telling us what’s on your mind.” Luke returned his hand to my back. “Three more, Lee.”

Bracing for the next one, it landed on the opposite side. It hurt, but after comparing it to the godawful wooden paddle he had used before his trip out here, it was almost soothing. The sound of leather snapping whooshed through the air. Luke shifted his target to my upper thighs. I bit down on my right fist, not the one holding Emma’s hand, but she noticed.

“I won’t think less of you for reacting, Sir,” she stated in the gentlest tone I’d ever heard. “Seeing you get punished isn’t fun. I will remember it and make better choices in the future.” Emma nuzzled the side of my face. “I know how strong you are. It’s okay to let it out. Whatever you’ve been holding inside, I mean. Something really bothered you last night. I don’t think you’ll process it without allowing the release, is what I’m trying to say.”

Emma read into my actions and my behavior as well as Luke had.

Nodding, I agreed with her startling observation. “Yes, babygirl. You’re right. Thank you for understanding me. You voiced things I’ve never let see the light of day.”

“You’re welcome, Daddy.”

“One more, Lee.” Lucas cleared his throat, returning my attention to him.

Working my teeth in between my lips, I braced for the last one. Luke swung the belt, catching the soft juncture of where my ass and thighs met. It hurt as much as the others, however I accepted it instead of fighting. Tears I’d been holding back since last night escaped my eyes. Raw. Vulnerable. Yet, something deep inside of me seemed to open. My heart? Allowing their love to touch me, showing my emotions, it all made sense.

“I am utterly terrified.” I took a few deep breaths. “Now that I have feelings for both of you, I’m afraid you’ll leave me. Everyone always does.”

Telling them my deepest fear brought another round of tears. Lucas tapped my hip, and I situated myself in between the two of them.

“You’re stuck with me, Doc. No matter what you do, I’ll drag your bratty ass back to me. Understand?”

“Yes, Sir.”

“I won’t leave.” Emma looped her arms around my neck. “If those thoughts run through my head, Daddy, I’ll talk to you first.”

“You better.”

“I promise.” She crossed her heart with her fingers. “I love you.”
