Well, crap. It would suck to be away from home with none of my things and Jesse was giving me more courtesy than I should be allowed. Stuffing a few outfits into my suitcases, I thought about the few sentimental objects that weren’t lost in the shuffle of my jaunt home. Adding my warm fuzzy green blanket and a soft teddy bear to the small pile, I smiled. Stepping into the bathroom, I gave it a once over, throwing some toiletries and essentials into a duffle bag. Remembering the silly fights Tate and I used to have in the mornings before school left me wishing that things had been different. He used to take longer than me and I’d have to kick him out because I needed to look cute for school. Turning on the hot water, I washed my face. Patting it dry with a towel, an icy pit formed in my stomach. I hadn’t heard Jesse outside my room with power tools and wondered why it was so quiet.

Oh no!

Leaping toward the door that led to Tate’s childhood bedroom l reached for the handle but it was opening. Jesse was so freaking smart. He must have been waiting for me to be distracted. Instead of removing my door he remembered our joint bathroom had two entry ways via our respective bedrooms.

“Jesse!”

“Who wants to do manual labor when I could just open a door?” Pressing me against the sink, he cuffed my arms behind my back.

I couldn’t let the moment go by without saying some smartass comment. It was a trait my twin and I shared. “Is that a gun in your pocket, Officer Wilcox, or do you get excited whenever the cuffs come out?”

“Not as excited as you, buttercup.”

Three of the hardest smacks I’d ever felt cracked off my right upper thigh. My yoga pants offered no protection. “Ow!” He repeated the pattern on my left thigh followed by another set of three on either side of my butt. “I’m sorry!”

“Dane invited you to stay until the threat passes. We’re going to get your stuff and be on our way.”

Squirming, I tried to shift out from the bulk of his weight but it was useless. “How come you never actually dated me? You were so bossy in college, I thought you sort of wanted to start something.”

He sighed. “Do you need an answer right now or are you stalling?”

“Please tell me.”

“I wasn’t into you like that. I kept my eye on you and that’s about all I could manage. Besides, I don’t think dating was on your mind.”

“What makes you say that?” I tried to recall if we ever had a conversation about being in a relationship but I came up short. No, I chased after him because of the way he responded to me.

“Flaunting your goodies all over the place rarely lands a boyfriend, darling,” he scoffed. “Not a reputable one anyhow.”

“You had sex with my entire dorm but never even looked at me.”

“Is that what they told you?” If he wasn’t holding me against the sink, he probably would have doubled over with laughter. “Wow.”

Glancing up in the mirror, I saw him wipe one of his eyes with the back of his hand. “It’s not funny. My ego was pretty fragile.”

“I’m not laughing about that. I won’t lie and say I didn’t sleep around, but I never touched anyone in your dorm.” Jesse shook his head. “Aside from that, you were sleeping with my brother. I’m open-minded, but sharing with Tanner isn’t a thing I’d do.”

“Tell me no one at college ever slept with the two of you,” I scoffed.

“Not at the same time at least, and certainly none that I knew of. What the hell kind of romance books have you been reading?”

“I don’t know.” I stretched my legs as far as they could go, but Jesse’s bulk didn’t allow me much wiggle room. “I didn’t want to have sex, but I liked your attention. It didn’t seem like you cared.”

“About you?” Jesse slapped his palm against both sides of my ass. He did it several more times while my feet danced up and down frantically trying to shift away from the smacks.

“Ouch!”

“Let’s see if I can jog your memory, because you obviously don’t remember.” He continued spanking me as if I hadn’t protested at all. “After that one incident, you sat on my lap at every party. If I wasn’t around Tanner went with you.” Jesse paused for a moment allowing me to answer.

“Oh, yeah,” I huffed, hating that he was right.

“I’d carry you back to the apartment I shared with Tanner whenever you were too wasted to make it back on your own.” Jesse started up again targeting my sit-spots.

“Okay, okay!” I attempted to wriggle away from his huge palms but the movement was useless. I’d completely underestimated what a spanking from him would feel like. He smacked my lower curves a few more times. His paddle-like hands had extremely accurate precision. My poor butt ached, and he’d barely touched me. I needed it to stop before I told him all the things on my mind. “You’ve gotten your point across.”

“Who routinely rescued you from bad situations, buttercup?” Jesse kept on spanking me as if he had nothing else to do.

“Uncle!” I screeched.
