My little Sunshine,
Every girl deserves gorgeous underwear at work.
Five sets. Five days.
I hear your boss likes pink.
Yours,
Kane
A grin appears on my face and I quickly tear at the tissue paper, and as per the card, there are five stunning Monty’s lingerie sets in different shades of pink. Grabbing my phone, I shoot off a thank-you text to Kane. I’ve just placed the garments away when my phone pings.
KANE:I was hoping you’d model them for me.
CALI:Five sets. Five fashion shows.
KANE:You’re going to make me wait???
KANE:**sad face emoji**
CALI:You’ll be fine … but feel free to come over for a replay of last night
KANE:Currently I’m golfing with your dad
I can’t help myself, so I quickly rip off my shirt and bra and slip on my satin robe. Standing in front of the mirror, I lower it down and expose my nipple and quickly snap a photo and send it to him.
CALI:**sexy image**
KANE:Sunshine, you don’t play fair
CALI:I never said I did
I start to feel bad about what I just sent so I quickly send another text.
CALI:But seriously, thank you … you really didn’t have to
KANE:You’re welcome. We can call it a signing bonus
CALI:I hope the other staff don’t get signing bonuses like this???
KANE:Nope, just the special ones
CALI:You really do know how to make a girl feel special. I cannot wait to work with … and under … you
KANE:I’m looking forward to working with … and over you too
KANE:Ohh, and pink lingerie is part of your uniform, even when we aren’t at work
CALI:So bossy … but luckily for you, I love pink lingerie so I think I can abide by that rule … plus my boyfriend loves me in pink
After texting with Kane, I log on to the Monty’s website and order myself a few more pink sets, you know, for the work uniform and all that.
ChapterThirty-Seven
… six weeks later
“That was close,” Calliope whisper-giggles from her spot under my desk. Calliope has been working here for six weeks now and I can unequivocally say, she is the best hire ever. She has been a great asset to The Clifton, and to me. Her ideas are bold and she shows a confidence that I haven’t seen in an employee in a very long time.
