Also what were her brothers' plans anyway? Was she supposed to be cuffed to the seat indefinitely? Or at least until they had to refuel?

Where were they sending her, and how did they think she was going to get out of the cuffs if they had the key?

Sienna sighed heavily and was immediately offered a serving of beluga caviar with blinis and sour cream, and when she refused that, was offered a tray of imported chocolate instead. Half of her wanted to stuff her face with the entire box of chocolates and not care.

But she had two levels of stress. One was surface level, which warranted tubs of ice cream, and the deeper level, like now, she completely lost her appetite for everything. She was on the business side of things now.

She was supposed to be somewhere else entirely right now. And it wasn’t some quaint island, where she had tried to get Alyson to come to with her. If Alyson had said yes, she would have gotten her friend away from a dreary future of her working as a waitress in some thug’s restaurant to pay off her father’s gambling debts. Then she would explain to Alyson what she needed to do. This was the final payment for what she had done to Emily Martin ten years ago.

When the plane finally landed, she still had no idea where she was.

Minutes passed, and no one came to her. Not the pilot or the stewardess.

“Hello,” she called after she had unbuckled the seat belt, then twisted her body around, which almost dislocated her shoulder in the process, thanks to the cuffs on her wrist.

“Hello, is anyone here?” She paused for an answer, and when none came, she swore under her breath.

What the damn hell did her brothers plan on doing with her?

Had everyone just deserted her? How was she supposed to get out of the cuffs? She wasn’t a freaking magician. A horrific image of her deliberating having to break her wrist to survive flashed through her mind.

She shook her head and told herself she was being silly. No matter what punishments her brothers had in store for her, this was surely not one of them. Or was it?

Did they plan to play some mind game with her? Keep her restrained in an empty plane, in the middle of nowhere, until she faced what they called her demons?

“Just stop, Sienna,” she scolded herself at the same time as she started to yank desperately at the handcuffs. She was losing her mind already. Her panic level had hit another setting, the point of an absolute, all-out no return. What if no one came for her?

“Hello,” she shouted again and hated that her voice carried the tears she tried to choke down.

She stopped breathing. Something changed. Someone was here. No. More than one person.

She had no defense, no way of protecting herself. No way of… Why did she immediately think she was in danger? Whoever they were, had been sent to release her. They were there to help her.

Until she realized they were not there to help her at all.

The scent of leather, cologne, and… man, drifted toward her, then lingered in the air around her.

She didn’t know anyone who smelled that way.

Curious, she turned around in the seat, straining her neck rather awkwardly to see who had entered the plane.

She took in the sight of the three exceptionally tall men all in one go and had what little balance of her life was left, yanked straight out from under her.

She had no idea who they were.

But their presence, in nothing more than a minuscule moment, shook her down to her core, made her heart thud strangely, her body break out into a full flush, and her eyes, she was sure, widened exponentially too.

Who were they?

What were they going to do to her?

Chapter Two

Rowan Carter knew exactly what to expect the minute they entered the private jet of the Gallagher brothers. His brothers expected the same thing.

Sienna Gallagher.

The little sister of their best friends, who were more like blood brothers to them. They went back a long way. They had saved each other’s lives on more occasions than they could count. There wasn’t anything they wouldn’t do for the Gallagher brothers. That much would always be true.
