“See! That! That’s what I’m talking about! You always call me sweetheart and you come into the bakery twice a day looking like this.” I tossed my hand to indicate his perfect outfit, presumably he’d been at work all day and I couldn’t find a single wrinkle anywhere. He must be a wizard, there was no other explanation. A handsome, wrinkle impervious wizard.

He looked down at his clothing as his brow furrowed. “I’m confused. Is there a dress code I’m unaware of?”

“What? No, you just…you…you touched me!” I could hear how insane I sounded and I was sure at any minute he was going to throw me out or call the police to come arrest the crazy lady who was terrorizing him in his own office. What I didn’t expect was for him to break into laughter. He bent over clutching his stomach as the sounds of his amusement bounced around us.

Was he laughing at me?Angry tears filled my eyes and I brushed at my heated cheeks furiously. Why did I always cry when I got mad? It was an awful side effect to my anger and more tears fell to replace the ones I wiped away.

Grayson sobered quickly when I sniffed and he crossed the room in three quick strides, pulling me into his firm chest and stroking my hair from my face. “Shh,” he soothed, gently rubbing circles on my back. I hiccupped a sob and inhaled shakily, comforted by the scent of him as I let all of my frustration pour out with my tears.

“Do you not like me anymore?” I asked softly. It felt pathetic to phrase it like that, but I didn’t have any experience in the dating arena and I couldn’t think of another way to phrase it.

“Fuck, sweetheart. What would make you think that?”

I tried to push away but his arms only held me tighter so I settled for turning my face up to see him and resting my chin on his chest. “You haven’t touched me since that day at the spa or spoken to me the way you did then. You told me you were going to give me space but I don’t know what that means.”

“How old are you, sweetheart?” he asked, eyes narrowed slightly.

“Twenty-two,” I answered truthfully. My age wasn’t something we’d needed to change since I was legally an adult when I ran. I was curious as to why he was asking me, though, my ID had been one of the things I’d provided to him when I filled out my lease application. My last name was fake but all the other information was very real.

“Hmm,” he hummed as he toyed with a strand of my hair that had fallen out of my ponytail. “I’m thirty, did you know that?” I nodded. His age didn’t bother me. We were both responsible adults and that was all that mattered.

“It may not seem like that much of a difference, but you’re young, Lily, I should have taken that into consideration and done a better job explaining myself. That’s on me, sweetheart, and I’m sorry I caused you to doubt my intentions.” His words had hope blooming inside of me and I relaxed further into his arms.

“I didn’t want to spook you, that’s why I’ve taken it slow the last few months. I screwed up that day in the spa, my jealousy had me wanting to stake a claim on you. And finding you naked in that room, there was no way I was leaving without getting my hands on you.” Those same hands squeezed my hips for emphasis and I blushed at the memory.

“But I could tell you needed time to accept the possibility of us being together. You had your plate full with opening up your store and I didn’t want to add to your stress, no matter how much I wanted to make you mine. I waited and I stayed away but now I’m thinking that was a mistake, too. I hate that you’ve felt this way, Lily. I haven’t lost my chance with you, have I?”

The pleading in his tone combined with the pure honesty of his words had my heart unclenching. It was clear that he still wanted me just as much as he had months ago. I giggled and his brow furrowed with confusion, his mouth forming an adorable pout.

“I’m sorry, it’s just that you said you’ve stayed away but I’ve seen you twice a day, six days a week for the last three months.” I laughed again and the lines on his face disappeared, replaced with a sheepish smile.

“That was as much space as I was willing to give you, sweetheart. Every Sunday I’ve been going insane, not being able to get my eyes on you. There was no way I was going to let you forget about me while I was waiting on you to come around to this.”

“This?”

“Us. We can date if you like, get to know each other better, hell, I’ll take you on a hundred dates if that’s what you want but I don’t need it to know I want you. And I want you, Lily, badly.” He pressed into me, his erection pushing into the softness of my stomach. My own body heated with need and my sex clenched, remembering how it felt to have his fingers there.

“I want you, too, Grayson. I think about that day all the time.” I spoke softly, whispering my confession for only his ears. He groaned and shoved his face into the crook of my neck as his hands left the small of my back to grip my ass tightly.

He used our size difference to his advantage and slowly pushed me backward until I heard the door to his office close and the click of the lock turning. A thrill of excitement ran through my body at the sound.

“I think about it, too, Lily. I stroke my cock every night to the memory of the sounds you made, of your tight pussy rippling around my fingers as you came.” I whimpered and grew wet at the thought of his hands on my body. “You like that, sweetheart? Knowing I’m imagining fucking you, wishing it was your hand wrapping around me instead of my own?”

“Yes, Grayson.” I didn’t know what I wanted more, to see and feel him in my hand or to have him inside of me, taking care of the ache between my thighs. His head tilted and his lips pressed to mine in a brutal kiss.

This is what I needed from him. He wasn’t the only one fantasizing about what could have happened had we not been interrupted that day. He hefted me into the air without warning, a gasp escaping my lips as they were torn away, and my legs instinctively wrapped around his hips. His thickness pushed against the seam of my jeans and I locked my ankles behind his back, holding him there.

I began my own exploration as my mouth trailed everywhere it could reach. I nipped his ear, wanting to leave my mark on him and the next thing I knew I was flying through the air, my body landing on his leather couch and bouncing slightly. He came down on top of me and pressed into me again.

“You’re testing my willpower, sweetheart. I don’t want the first time I fuck you to be in my office where anyone can hear.” I whined in protest, wanting to do exactly just that. “Don’t worry, I’ll still take care of you, you’ll never be left needing my touch again.”

He snapped the button on my jeans and tore them down my legs, taking my panties with them. The material got caught on my shoes and I writhed in frustration but Grayson didn’t seem bothered as he threw my legs up into the air, my ankles trapped together tightly in the fabric.

“Hold them here for me. I didn’t get to taste you last time and we aren’t leaving this room until I fix that.”

My fingers gripped behind my knees to do as he asked and he rewarded me by licking a line up my center. “Oh god!” My head fell back against the couch and my legs began to shake.

Grayson alternated between flicking his tongue against my clit and fucking me with it, driving me wild every time he switched his movements. My head shook from side to side, not knowing which sensation felt better.
