I hear footsteps heading towards me. Turning, I see Kevin approaching. “You okay? You just disappeared.” I really don’t feel like talking to anyone right now, but I know that Kevin is genuinely worried, so I nod.

“All good, just trying to sort some stuff out with my MC.”

“Okay then, I’m heading to the hotel. Joel and Jake have already left. You want me to wait with you?”

“No, go ahead. I’m going to be awhile still.”

Kevin says his goodbyes, making his way towards his hired car while I start pacing. When I rode to where Siena was supposed to be and saw that she had left, I felt a wrenching deep in my soul—a wrenching as if my wolf were scratching my insides. I rode out of the parking lot and up and down the main road, trying to find her car, or any sign of where she might have gone, but I found nothing.

Should I phone the number that Jim sent me? Is that her number when she entered the competition, or did she give us Denise’s number? Throwing back my head, I roar, trying to appease some frustration, but it doesn’t help.

Walking towards my motorcycle, I slide my helmet on before starting my bike and heading out of the parking lot once again. I need to try to find my mate; I know that it’s a slim chance, but I have to do something, or I’m going to go mad.

I don’t know how long I ride up one street and down another, trying to see my woman’s car, trying to get a whiff of her scent, but I find nothing. Daylight is starting to break when I feel my phone vibrating. Pulling the bike over, I pull it out and see Fang’s name on the screen. “Hey.”

“Where the fuck are you?”

His question has me frowning. Why does he care where I am?

“Why?”

“I thought you needed help?”

Fuck, I completely forgot I asked King to send someone to help me.

“Where are you?” I ask. “I will come meet you.”

“At your hotel, where you should have been at this time.”

“You are not my fucking mother. I will be there in ten,” I reply.

Before I switch off, I hear him muttering, “Looks like you still need one.” I shake my head. Why the fuck did I ask for help? I know why, because they are my fucking family, and I know that they will do everything in their power to help me like I would do to help any of my brothers. Ten minutes later, I’m pulling up in front of the hotel to see Fang, Goliath, Dixon, and Frost waiting for me.

I thought only one of them would come, but to see four of them here, appeases me somewhat. “Now why don’t you tell us how you lost your fucking mate?” Lifting my hand, I show Dixon the finger which makes him grin. As a wolf pack, we’re always bickering and fighting, but every single one of us would die for the other.

“I went to get my bike, so I could follow her home, then when I got to where she was supposed to be waiting, she was gone.”

“Guess having the name Blue Strada didn’t help. Maybe when we find her, bite her first, and talk later.” I glare at Dixon, but I know that his ribbing will continue for a long time to come, I deserve it though, how can someone that has the most precious thing in their sight, let it slip through their fingers?

“Give us all the information you have on her,” Goliath says as he sits back on his bike, his muscular arms crossing before him.

“Her name is Siena, and the only thing I have is a number, which I don’t know if it belongs to her or the teenage girl she brought to the show.”

“She has a daughter?” Frost asks.

“No, she’s some kind of nurse, I think.” I really don’t know much about my mate. How could I let her out of my sight without getting all her details?

“Well, that narrows it down. We’re looking for a nurse and her name is Siena,” Goliath states.

“Have you called that number?” Frost asks from where he has been quietly listening like he usually does.

“No, not yet.”

“Fuck, man, are you seriously saying that we came all this way, but maybe the only thing you needed to do is call that number? That there’s a possibility she will answer?” Dixon asks with a raised brow.

“It was late last night when I got every detail we had. I didn’t want to wake her or the girl.”

“Well, let’s wait another hour or so, then you can call the number and see who answers. We can make plans from there,” Goliath says as he gets off his bike.
