“Guess you will have to show her that you have all your parts in place and they still working.” I glare at King knowing that I will never hear the end of this.

“It’s useless, I don’t trust myself near her.” I mutter, “It’s a hopeless situation.” Before I know what is happening King has me by the neck and is holding me against the wall to the workshop. His eyes are flashing with anger as he glares at me.

“You don’t know what a hopeless situation is, just because your female is fiery and has a mind of her own.” I start to struggle to break his hold, the constant rage rising to the forefront. “You want to see what hopeless is?” he growls deep in his throat, “I’ll show you what hopeless is.” Letting go of me he steps back turning his back he starts to make his way out of the workshop. “Come!” he orders not waiting for a reply.

I shake my head in anger wanting to rebel but knowing that it would do me no good. “Fuck” I growl as I follow King to the SUV. King hardly ever uses the SUV and prefers his Harley; I would personally prefer to take my Harley instead of being in the Vehicle with King the whole way.

“Where are we going?” I ask when we have been in the vehicle for about ten minutes, and I notice that King is heading out of town.

Instead of replying King grunts continuing in silence. I look out of the window seeing the scenery change outside. About twenty minutes later we are pulling up under a huge Oak tree on the side of the road. “Come” King orders as he gets out closing the driver’s door behind himself. I look around confused, seeing a woodland before us. I have no idea what he is here to show me, but it seems like he knows exactly where we are going.

We walk through the woodlands in silence, it seems like the closer we get to wherever we are going the tenser King is becoming. When we finally break through into a glade, I see a farmhouse to our left, initially it seems like its abandoned but then I hear rustling which indicates that there is someone inside. I also pick up the scent of two others in the vicinity.

“There are others close by,” I state knowing that King would have picked up the scent too.

“Yes, there are,” he murmurs, his focus on the house we are approaching. When we are but a couple of metres away, he stops, I look over at him and frown. What the hell are we doing?

“Are we going inside?” I ask

“No, and don’t make a sound no matter what.” Now my curiosity has heightened. The door to the house opens and a woman with long brown hair steps out. I frown, I’m sure I have seen this woman before her features are familiar to me. She crosses the porch, her hand on the railing the other hand holding a cup of coffee, the fragrance of the coffee reaching me. I’m confused how she hasn’t seen us yet as we are standing right before the door.

Turning before the two chairs on the porch she takes the two steps towards them and then takes a seat. “I can sense you,” her voice is soft as she speaks. Then suddenly I realize why she hasn’t seen us as she leans to her left feeling for the little side table between the chairs before setting her cup on it. The woman is blind, why would King bring me to see this woman.

Taking a step closer I am stopped by Kings arm suddenly blocking my way, looking at him I freeze when I see the anger in his eyes. I don’t know what is happening here, but whatever it is it touches King deeply. “Why don’t you speak to me?” she calls, her hair that was obscuring her face slightly from me suddenly lifts away with a gust of wind and then I freeze as I realize where I have seen this woman before.

My eyes snap around to look at King and I freeze as I see the longing in his eyes, the pain in his expression as he observes the woman. Why are we here, and what is this woman to King? Everyone at the Club has been curious about King’s paintings, there is a painting behind his chair in his office and one above his bed of this woman sitting before us. A woman which none of us have seen before, and which King has always refused to tell us.

It is clear that he has come here before, but the question is, does she know who he is or is he stalking her? She leans back in her chair, her sightless eyes staring straight at King. Her head leaning slightly to the right as if she is trying to hear something. Her lips raise as she smiles, but there is a sadness to her that is palpable. We must have stood in silence outside for at least an hour before she finally rises and starts making her way back inside. Before she enters, she turns back towards where we are standing, “One day you will say something.” She whispers before making her way back inside.

King seems frozen on the spot, his eyes focused on the door where the woman disappeared. I sense someone approaching, turning I see a man breaking through the dense foliage his stride and the way he holds himself telling me that he has combat experience. “King” I call but realize that King has already turned and is now looking at the approaching male.

“King” the man greets as he approaches.

“Any problems?” King asks a relaxed tone in his voice which tells me that King knows this man and trusts him.

“No, all the same.” The man reports inclining his head towards the house, he continues. “She’s becoming restless and is starting to wander further and further.” This piece of news doesn’t sit well with King as he tenses.

“I will get Molly to come and stay with her.” King states as he suddenly turns and starts striding back the way we came.

“She’s the woman in your paintings, isn’t she?” I ask only to receive a terse nod from King. “Why did you bring me here?” King is quiet for a long moment, finally he stops and turns to look at me.

“You were stating that your situation was hopeless.” His statement has me frowning, “What you just saw today is hopeless.” He continues making his way towards the vehicle, his words making me more confused than I already was.

“Just because she’s blind doesn’t mean she’s hopeless.” I reply keeping pace with him, continuing in silence until we reach the vehicle. Sliding into the SUV King reverses and then we are making our way back to the Club.

“The woman you just saw back there is my mate.” His revelation has me speechless, no one has ever suspected that King found his mate.

“What the hell King,” I say in surprise, “when did you find her?” but instead of answering King shrugs not answering my question. “Why haven’t you bonded with her, is it because she’s blind.”

He glances at me, his eyes filled with turmoil. “Yes” I raise my eyebrows in surprise, I never thought that King would be judgemental.

“You know, just because she’s blind doesn’t mean she can’t integrate into our way of life if that is what concerns you.” I say, not wanting to get involved in his life but not liking the fact that King is suffering because of being judgemental.

“She would never agree to be my mate.” King grunts as he concentrates on the road.

“You mean that she doesn’t know?” I ask in surprise, is it possible that King has never even spoken to her before.

“She would never accept me; therefore, it doesn’t matter.” King snaps,
