“Why’s that?”

“It’s Adopt a Daddy night! Oh my god, this is perfect.”

“What the hell is that?”

Aspen reaches to their desk, snagging a pale-yellow sheet of paper, promptly shoving it against my chest. “It’s like all the adoption events we’ve done before, but this time, the subs get to bid on the Daddies.”

“Whoa, seriously?” I glance at the wrinkled paper in my hand, realizing it’s an invitation. I read it carefully, excitement bursting like bubbles of carbonation in my stomach with each word.

Dearest members of The Garden,

Come one, come all.

Truly, I hope you do.

It’s my sincerest pleasure, as you know I live for this, to invite you to our first ever Daddy adoption event on the third Saturday of September.

As our beloved members of The Garden, I am extending this invitation to all littles, middles, pets, and submissives looking for a Daddy. Whether for a night or forever.

This one-night exclusive event will allow you to bid on our available Daddies. The winning bid will get uninterrupted access with their Daddy until closing, and who knows what our sweet (or sneaky) subs can convince their Daddies to do during that time.

Upon registration, a fee will be initiated, giving you access to bidding tokens for the event. All registration proceeds are being donated to the local chapter of Raising Fathers.

Raising Fathers focuses on building strong and supportive family dynamics in single-parent households. Their support services include personal and family counseling, employment guidance, child development, and financial planning. It’s our extreme honor to support such a wonderful foundation.

We hope you find a fun day of play or a forever kind of love. Regardless of your need, our Daddies are here and ready to care for you.

Registration is open through the member portal, or you can join at the front desk of The Garden.

I look forward to seeing you all there.

With epic pleasure,

Madam Eve

PS Not in the market for a Daddy? Not to worry, we’ve recently reworked our event schedule, and it has something for everyone. Stop by the front desk to see our new selections, including training sessions, demonstrations, and more.

If there was ever a time something was significantly understated, it was Aspen saying this is perfect. This piece of paper reads like fate.

How is it possible after months of paying for a membership I never use, I come back here on the one night I can get a Daddy to take care of me for a few hours?

This is several thousand times better than playing on my own under the watchful eye of whichever playroom monitor is in charge tonight. Now I can fall completely into little space without holding on to that tenuous strand of adult thoughts to keep me safe.

Most adoption events at The Garden are more in the find-your-forever setting, but this one is different. Madam Eve said so herself, right here in black ink. I don’t have time for things like a relationship or forever, but a few hours?

Yeah, I can easily get on board with this idea.

I slap the paper on the desk, drawing Aspen’s attention away from the computer screen. “How do I sign up?”

Aspen gives a small cheer. “Let me get you added to the roster, and I’ll grab you some bidding tokens.”

THREE

“I still thinkthis is bullshit, in case you were wondering.” It’s such a heteronormative expectation that relationships are the be-all, end-all of life. I simply don’t understand why it’s viewed asproblematicto be single.

I catch the beginnings of a smirk as Madam Eve continues fiddling with the wireless microphone, not even bothering to look me in the eye when she responds, “Not even a remote concern of mine, but thanks for the unsolicited commentary.”

“Are you sure this is where I should be?” I throw my hands in the air. “It doesn’t make sense that I’m not running the back room with the PJS team. What if they have questions? Shouldn’t I be available for them?”
