Deep in my circuits, I prayed my kiss had altered Oz’s world in the same way it had just altered mine.

Oz

Fuck, I think I broke him.Viper’s pupils were blown wide as he stared at me, a look of disbelief on his face.

Kissing me broke him! Oh god, what the hell do I do now?

Maybe if you kiss him again, he’ll restart, the naughty part of my brain suggested. Worth a shot. I flung my arms around his neck, dragging his mouth back to mine, sealing my lips to his.

He let out a small gasp and I took full advantage, sweeping my tongue past his lips to slide along his. He groaned. Taking control, he devoured every corner of my mouth as if he couldn’t get enough.

I knew the feeling. I kissed him back frantically, pouring everything I had into the best kiss of my life. My knees grew weak, my heart pounding inside my chest, my body lighting up like a live wire as I struggled to stay standing.

It had been so long since I had genuinely wanted someone. Never had a simple kiss made my body burn with want… no, with theneedfor more.

More of feeling his hand in mine.

More kisses.

More of my arms wrapped around his neck.

More of his delicious growls and groans.

More ofeverything.

Pulling back to catch my breath, I dropped my head against his chest, relishing the hardness of his frame. His kiss had stripped me bare, leaving me feeling raw and exposed. It was glorious and terrifying and made me want to climb his frame like a tree and never let go.

And while the old Oz would have been sent running when his arms slipped around my waist, this new version hugged him in return, my feet firmly rooted to the spot.

“I am happy to see the two of you getting along, but I feel the need to remind you that Oz almost died for the second time only a few hours ago,” Dax’s voice floated from Viper’s comm, startling me from the wonderful kiss coma I had slipped in to.

“She needs rest. Not to be ravaged in the hallway. Take her home and care for her, Viper,” Dax ordered.

My still foggy brain struggled to catch up. How had Dax known that Viper and I had been sucking face in the cyborg rebellion hallway like two horny teenagers?

Suddenly, I remembered that every inch of this place was set up with security camaras.

My cheeks blazed with heat. I was glad my face was still planted against Viper’s chest. “He can see us, can’t he?”

He chuckled. “Yes.”

“Aww, Dax, don’t ruin the show, it was just getting good!”

“Get off this channel, Acer,” Dax growled. “They don’t need an audience!”

“Well, I guess now isn’t a good time to say, ‘Go Viper!’, huh?” Brone chuckled.

“Howmanyof youarethere?” I whispered in horror. How many cyborgs had tuned into the Viper and Oz show?

“Yuck. Another cyborg bites the dust! I’ll never understand why you guys like locking lips with human females even if they have badass pink hair,” Theo admonished.

“You’ll understand one day, son, I promise.” The last voice belonged to the leader of the cyborg rebellion himself, Reaper.

I burrowed my face deeper into Viper’s chest, my cheeks flaming even hotter.

“Reaper, are you watching the security feed, too? I told you to leave them alone!” A sharp, pissed-off female’s voice rang out. “Turn it off now! That goes for you, too, Theo!”

“Aww, mom.”
