“But I really—“

“I said no arguments,” he repeated firmly, then abruptly swept her up and carried her from the room.

By the time he laid her on the bed and was peeling off her clothes, she could barely keep her eyes open.

“I need to wash off the day,” he said softly. “I’ll be right back.”

AS STEWART STOOD UNDERthe hot water, he realized it was time for some changes. His wife was launching a business and it was the first he’d heard about it. Quickly toweling off and slipping between the sheets, he switched off the beside lamp, but as he gently brought her into his arms an idea floated through his head. A few minutes later, he reached across to the nightstand and turned off the alarm clock.

Getting up late would not cause the world to come to an end. In fact, one long, loving morning in bed could put their world back into balance.

CHAPTER FIFTEEN

STEPHANIE’S LIFE HADunexpectedly taken a dramatic and exciting turn.

She’d been woken up by Stewart’s fingers urgently rubbing her clit. He didn’t stop until she was almost ready to climax, then he’d ordered her onto her hands and knees. Plunging back inside her, he’d thrust with quick, powerful strokes, taking her to the brink, then backing off and nuzzling her neck. When he finally allowed her to orgasm, her body shuddered through a series of sparkling spasms she never thought would end.

After groaning loudly through his climax, he’d held her tightly, whispering how much he loved and adored her, and promising never to neglect her again. They showered together, she cooked them a delicious breakfast, and as he was about to climb into his car and head for work, he’d pressed his lips on hers in a long, loving kiss.

“You come first from now on,” he’d promised. “It’s about time my clients learned they need me more than I need them. The days of surrendering to their demands are over.”

“So...you’ll be back in time for dinner?”

“You bet, and I can’t wait to see what sexy outfits you have waiting when I get back.”

Watching him drive off, she’d thought her heart would burst with joy. Walking on cloud nine to her sewing room, she was determined to have all six prototypes finished by the time he returned at the end of the day.

As she set to work, the garments almost sewed themselves. The hi-tech machine she’d bought surpassed her expectations. By the time Tia arrived late in the afternoon, several items were finished and on hangers.

“I had no idea you were such a remarkable seamstress,” Tia exclaimed, studying a white lace and pink satin peignoir. “These are fantastic. They look even better than they did in the sketches.”

“I can’t remember the last time I had this much energy,” Stephanie said happily, collecting pieces of left over fabric and stuffing them into a garbage bag. “I can’t stop. In fact I haven’t stopped. Not even for a cup of coffee.”

“Please don’t burn yourself out!”
