“Not a chance, I’m having too much fun.”
“Stephanie, you do realize Victoria’s Secret is yesterday’s news. It’s tired. Old hat, and there’s a gaping hole in the market. I swear, you could fill it.”
Stephanie laughed, then wondered if Tia could be right. If anyone knew the world of fashion, it was the famous supermodel.
“Can I try this on?” Tia asked, interrupting her thoughts.
“Of course. I love them all, but that’s one of my favorites.”
The alluring corset featured a glossy stretch black fabric with red piping down the sides to flatter the figure, and red lace across the scalloped top. With hook and eye closures in the front, and a wide panel of velcro in the back, it was easily removable and adjustable. Quickly changing into the seductive garment, Tia studied her reflection in the tall, oval mirror.
“Steph, this is terrific. It’s hugging my body without being uncomfortable.”
“But Tia, you make anything look good,” Stephanie replied modestly, thinking the corset was sensational on the tall, elegant model.
“It’s not me,” Tia replied vehemently. “You’re a genius, and we’re going to make a fortune.” Then taking a breath, she added, ”Steph, would it be okay for me to take this home—just for tonight?”
Stephanie grinned. It was no secret Tia’s sexual appetite was satisfied outside her marriage.
“Of course, but can I ask... are you having a special visitor?”
“Actually, no, Jerry and I have sort of...found each other,” she said, lowering her voice.
“Tia, that’s wonderful,” Stephanie remarked happily, thinking about her and Stewart and wondering if the planets had aligned to fuel love and sex.
“I promise I’ll be super careful.”
“Take it and enjoy your night. I’ll be dying to hear what Jerry thinks.”
“Wonderful, thank you. I guess I’d better leave you to it, but Steph, everything is fabulous. I’ll say it again. You’re a genius! You truly are.”
Stephanie blushed. She’d never been good at accepting compliments, and while she thought the lingerie was beautiful, she certainly didn’t consider herself a genius. While Tia changed into her regular clothes, Stephanie packed the corset into a box, then walked Tia to the door.
“Have a great night,” she said, kissing her on the cheek. “I’m sure you’ll knock Jerry’s socks off.”
“And his trousers too, I hope,” Tia added with a wink.
Closing the door and returning to her labor of love, Stephanie was overjoyed. She would have settled on a small boutique, but with Tia’s name, and Stewart’s business savvy, Luscious Lingerie could end up in stores across the country. Thrilled at the thought, she turned her attention back to her sewing machine, and the provocative outfits waiting to come to life.

DRIVING HOME, TIA WASflushed with excitement. She’d been looking for something new in the fashion world she loved, and Stephanie had created an ideal opportunity. They could pool their unique talents, and with business guidance from their respective husbands, Tia was sure she and Stephanie could accomplish great things.
Driving into her garage, she picked up the box and walked into her elegant, spacious home. Trotting up the stairs and into the bedroom, she placed the package on the canopied, king-sized bed, then moved to the windows to stare out at the Pacific.
The waves were down, but a late afternoon breeze had kicked up. The gulls were squawking and diving into the invisible air currents. Jerry had promised to be home early, and she’d be waiting dressed in the salacious surprise. Ambling into the bathroom, she filled the whirlpool tub, added aromatic bubble bath, and slid into the sublime foam.
