“On your knees in front of the bar.”

She heard him catch his breath, and feeling her own flurry of butterflies, she ended the call.

STEWART WAS GETTINGready to leave his office. It had been a long, busy day, and in spite of the drive he couldn’t wait to get home. Slipping on his jacket, he started towards the door, but it opened and Jennifer Olsen walked in.

“Jennifer! What the hell? Don’t you believe in knocking?”

“I like to surprise people,” she said with a wink. “Where is everyone? This place is deserted.”

“Uh, it’s late, and they leave at five-thirty—which you know! What can I do for you? No more problems on the set, I hope.”

“Not a one, everything is peachy keen. We wrapped early and I just wanted to see my favorite agent.”

“I’m your only agent.”

“Well, there is that,” she said with a laugh.

He couldn’t help but notice she was wearing a figure-hugging, low cut dress, her makeup had been freshly applied, and her hair had just been styled.

“So, Jennifer, what’s up?”

“I hope you will be soon!”

“I will, once I’m home with my wife.”

“Oh, Stewart, you’re such a party pooper. Why can’t you see we’re made for each other? Why are you driving all the way back to Malibu every night to a simple little house frau, when you could have me and live in my palace in Trousdale?” she demanded, sashaying up to him, then turning around, she looked at him over her shoulder. “Be a doll and unzip me. This dress is a size too small and so uncomfortable.”

“Then you shouldn’t wear it, and for the record, I love living in Malibu and I love my wife.”

Ignoring him, she reached back and slid the zipper down herself. As the top of the dress slipped to her waist, she pivoted on her toes and thrust out her naked breasts. Wanting to make a point, he stared into her eyes.

“You can’t deny there’s always been a special chemistry between us,” she purred, running her fingertips around his lips. “Can’t you feel it, Stewart?”

Quickly moving her arms around his neck, she pressed her body against his and tried to kiss him.

“Jennifer, this has to stop!” he said firmly, grabbing her arms and pushing her away. “If you can’t control yourself we need to part company. I’m sure there are a dozen agents who would love to have you as a client.”

“But we should be together.”

“Why? You have your pick of any man you want? Am I that devastatingly handsome, or sexy, or—”

“Not any more,” she snapped, cutting him off, then hastily pulling up her dress and holding it against her chest, she stormed from the room, slamming the door behind her.

Having no desire to ride down the elevator with her, he waited a few minutes, then headed out the door. But he decided to tell Stephanie about the incident. Jennifer would be at the party and he didn’t trust her. The woman could say anything...make up anything...was capable of anything.
