All the guys agreed.

I made a note to ask her to bake some cookies for us to take, so we would have a small piece of home, at least for the first few days. Well, knowing the guys, they’d only last a few minutes.

“Noah?” I looked up and waited.

He shrugged. “Not really. I mean, I’ll miss our pizza spot, but it’s not like Montana doesn’t have it. I’m going to miss my family the most. It’s going to be hard not seeing Trevor and Cynthia every day.”

I had nothing to say. I was the one with the least tying me to Chicago.

“I know, man. It’s going to be tough,” Vince said. “I’m going to miss Alex and Mia too.”

“You guys should get in the habit of writing them letters. I’m sure they’d love that,” I offered.

They agreed, and I wrote down a note to ask their moms to have their siblings write them a card or something before we left. Then I hurried to move on. “Luca?”

“I can’t think of anything.”

I waited, then nodded. “I thought this list would be longer.”

“What about you, Ave? Is there anything you want to do?” Gavin asked.

“Yeah, actually.” They all looked at me. “I’d like to have one more sleepover at my mom’s house.”

He grinned. “We can finish Star Wars.”

“And order pizza!” Sky laughed.

“Sounds good to me,” Luca agreed.

“What are you going to do with it when we leave?” Vince asked.

“I already asked Emery to check on it every so often, and Dad said he would send cleaners over once a month.” It was the only thing, besides our families, I would miss. It became my safe haven over the last few months, but at least I always had a place to come home to.
