“Are you guys ready?” Tessa called from her driveway.

“Yeah!” Luca squeezed my shoulders before releasing me and turning around.

Dad looked between me and Gavin’s SUV. “Are you sure you don't want me to take the rest of the day off? I can take you shopping.”

I shook my head. “It’s okay. She’s got it all planned out so we can be in and out of the stores quickly and finish everything left on the list today.”

He nodded and pulled out his wallet, then handed me a credit card. “Use this for whatever you want or need. And thank her for me.”

I took it and slid it into my back pocket. I didn’t have a purse or wallet anymore, so those were high-priority items for the day.

“I also got an email that your license will arrive by the end of the week, so you’ll have it in time for the flight.”

“That’s great. Thanks for taking care of that.” There were so many things I didn’t think about having to replace, but luckily, Dad and Tessa were on top of it.

“Have a good day, honey.” He stepped forward and pulled me in for a hug. “I love you.”

“I love you too, Dad.”

The front seat was saved for me, so I climbed in next to Tessa, and we headed to our first store of the day. She was a woman on a mission. After five hours, we all had our bedding, school supplies, coats, luggage, clothing, and decorations for our rooms.

It took me a little longer than the guys because I needed to replace an entire wardrobe, but they were patient with me and Tessa as long as we kept them well-fed with pretzels, smoothies, and then burgers for lunch.

Vince tried to argue when I said I was buying his stuff, but after a few minutes of debating, he relented. I think the winning argument was that I loved him, so he should shut his mouth and let me buy the stupid comforter. When he wasn’t looking, the boys took turns stealing items from his cart to buy for him as well.

When we got back to Gavin’s house, we sorted through our bags and organized everything that could be packed now. I helped Sky and Vince stuff as much as possible into their new large suitcases. Tessa said we could bring two each, so we needed to fit everything we owned into those.

I taught them to roll their clothes and use every nook and cranny. It would take a miracle to fit all of our supplies, but I wouldn’t give up.

“It’s no use. I’ll have to go naked.” Sky huffed and rolled off the top of his closed suitcase, giving up his attempt to zip it closed.

“That’s not actually an option,” Gavin said.

“Why not? Don’t the shifters have to be naked to change into animal form?” Sky lifted his head to look at him.

“We don’t know if that’s true or just a myth, and you’re not a shifter,” Gavin replied.

“That you know of,” Sky wagged his brows.

“Ave, my mom wants to know if you like the shampoo and conditioner in the bathroom. She’s going to buy more for us if you want.” Luca asked.

I nodded. “That would be great. I love the smell.”

“That’s what it is.” Noah pointed at me. “I couldn’t figure out what was different.”

My hand went to my hair. “Does it look different or something?”

He shook his head.

“No, you smell like Luca,” Gavin said.

I couldn’t help it. I glanced over to see Luca holding back a smile. Great. Until this moment, we’d been doing so well. No awkward moments or acting like anything was different. Who would have guessed talking about stupid toiletries would make my face heat?

When I first got in the car with them, I was convinced at least one of them would sense something about me had changed, but luckily, it was all in my head. Of course, they couldn’t tell Luca and I had slept together. That I gave him all of me. That we connected in a way I didn’t know was humanly possible.

My toes curled at the memory, but I shook away the rising desire boiling inside me.

“Well, we have been sharing a bathroom.” I hoped I sounded calmer than I felt.

“Is that all you’re sharing?” Noah asked.

I stared down at Vince’s suitcase, waiting for my skin to cool, so they wouldn’t see my blush. When I finally raised my eyes, I froze. They were all watching me. Luca was covering his smile. Gavin’s eyes were narrowed like he was trying to solve an equation. Noah and Sky shared a look, then stared at me again. Pain etched across Vince’s face.

How could they possibly know something happened?

“Wouldn’t you like to know?” I challenged them with what I hoped was a stern look, got up, and walked out of the room.
