She almost laughed. “I can handle them.”

I shared a look with Sai. Was she insane?

“Look, this won’t be the first time I've snuck off-campus, and it won’t be the last. Let me handle it.”

Who was this girl? I wanted to hear some of her stories, but now wasn’t the time.

“I’ll call Masie. She’ll have to let you know where to portal,” Niall said before getting up and moving to the corner of the room.

She nodded and tapped on Sai’s hand. “You’re done.”

Theo healed Sai while she finished off the spell, stirring the thick liquid and chanting until there was a blinding flash of green. I covered my eyes, and when I blinked enough to see again, there was a small red crystal about the size of my pinky nail. She picked it up and slid it into a satin pouch she had waiting on the ground.

“Well?” she asked Niall.

“Here are the coordinates.”

She read them, nodded, and pulled sweats and a jacket on over her pajamas. “I’ll be back within an hour. Clean this up while I’m gone.”

With that, she left.

“Now what?” Theo asked.

“We clean this up. Then we wait.” Niall looked at each of us. “And we hope it works.”
