How can he breathe?!

“Beau, Beau, please,” I choke out, as wave after wave of pleasure floods me. Eventually, I can’t hold myself up any longer, and I collapse on him, my head near his much-neglected crotch.

My mouth waters as I stare at the outline of his massive cock.

I move my hips away from his face and hear him take in a deep breath, letting out a chuckle after he’s received enough oxygen.

“Did I kill you?” I whisper. I want to touch him and make him come apart.

But a wave of fatigue hits me, and I close my eyes, unable to find the energy.

“You could only save my life, Princess, not kill me,” he murmurs, pressing one last kiss to my labia.

“Do you want me to—” I reach out and grip him, but he gently pats me on my thigh.

“This was about you, Harper. Believe me, it satisfied me more than you’ll know.”

“Maybe you just have a face-sitting kink.”

He chuckles. “Maybe. Or just a you kink.”

I smile. “If you say so,” I chuckle.

He helps me sit up and redress, then retrieves a water bottle and washcloth from his trunk. He wipes the sweat from my face, kisses my brow, then cleans himself off.

It’s incredibly thoughtful, just like everything else Beau does.

He helps me into the front passenger seat, and we drive back.

As we enter theInn, Charlotte, Grey, and James are standing in the front room, all three in a heated conversation. But they fall silent when they see us.

Grey gives Beau a sharp look, and James raises an eyebrow at him.

Charlotte gives me a thin-lipped smile that doesn’t reach her eyes.

Despite my post-orgasm bliss, I can sense something is wrong.

“Everything okay?” I ask her, and she nods, refusing to make eye contact.

The tension is palpable in the room as Beau releases my hand and clears his throat. Grey continues to glare daggers at him, but James turns his attention towards me.

“Hi gorgeous,” he purrs. “Have a nice time?”

“Yes, I did,” I murmur. “What are you all up to?”

The tension only thickens.

Whatever conversation they were having is apparently none of my business.

Frankly, I’m exhausted, and when they act secretive, I know it’s my cue to leave.

But first, I need to figure out what Charlotte gave me.

“By the way, Charlotte?” I ask. “Can you tell me what kind of medicine I had last night? I want to see if I can pick some up at the pharmacy.”

Everyone freezes, and Grey takes in a sharp breath.

Charlotte pales, and still doesn’t look at me.
