“I missed you,” I whisper into his ear as I graze it with my teeth. He groans as I grind on his lap, feeling his hard length grow beneath me.

“Babe,” he moans and I quiet him with a kiss. Dragging it out while I slip a hand between us down his chest.

“Is the door locked?” I stop for a second and smirk.

“No.”

“Good.” I know he’s going to protest so I work my hands on his belt and free his hard cock before he can. He moans in response as I slide my hand up and down his length.

“Fuck me.” I pout just enough, knowing what he likes. He reaches up my skirt, sliding my thin panties to the side and groans as he feels how wet I am.

“All that for me?” He kisses my chest, and I’m torn between how horny I am and how much I hate his teasing.

“Yes, only for you,” I moan, deciding to give in as he slides inside me.

We gave up on condoms about a month ago, opting for the pill when we had a tendency for impromptu sex. In this moment, I am grateful for that. Being able to feel all of him. I rock my hips just slow enough to drive us both crazy as he kisses my neck and grabs my ass under my skirt. I close my eyes, taking all of him at once, moaning in pleasure when he puts a hand over my mouth. I snap open my eyes, confused when he quietly shushes me, reminding me where we are.

“Cody! Are you still here?” Cody and I lock eyes, hearing Sawyer’s voice. We can’t move fast enough as Sawyer opens the door.

“OH MY GOSH!” She slams it closed with a hand over her eyes. It’s then I realize she has Riley with her too. Great, both of our best friends caught us having sex.

Cody and I jump up, fixing my blouse, panties, and skirt as he re-belts his pants. He opens the door and I can’t help but laugh behind him.

“Um, hi,” Sawyer says awkwardly.

“Well, that was something.” Riley laughs, trying to lighten the situation.

“Did you need something?” Cody grumbles. He and Sawyer are both a dark shade of red while Riley and I are cracking up like we’re stoned.

“It’s no longer important, didn’t we discuss not having sex in shared spaces?” Sawyer mumbles, looking between Cody and I. Admittedly it’s not the first time Sawyer caught us having sex at Puzzles.

“Come on, babe, sometimes you can’t help it. It’s not like we haven’t done it on that couch too,” Riley adds with a chuckle.

“Riley!” Sawyer squeals, biting her cheek. Cody clears his throat and I can tell he’d rather be anywhere but here.

“How about Cody goes home for the night and we all pretend this never happened?” I suggest.

“Yes, please,” Cody agrees, nodding.

“By all means, I need to talk to my girlfriend about what privacy is.” Sawyer nods and shoots Riley a look who just shrugs.

“Well, goodnight.” I usher Cody out of the office and down the hall, stifling my laughter.

“I’m glad you think it’s funny. I’m going to get you back for that later.” He pushes me against the wall and slides a finger inside me in one swift movement. I gasp as he teases me for a second, then pulls it out and licks it clean. “Let’s get home, shall we?” He smiles mischievously. This man is going to be the death of me.

Chapter Six

“Want to go for a walk?” Cody asks after breakfast. It’s Saturday morning in the city so the park will be crawling with tourists, but it doesn’t take away from its beauty.

“Yes.” I nod, throwing off the fuzzy blanket and heading to my room to get dressed. Cody has gotten in the habit of leaving a spare change of clothes and a toothbrush here. It is one of the unspoken things that shows me he is serious about us.

My apartment is only a few blocks from the East 96th street entrance of the park. Cody and I pass the playground full of nannies, children running wild, and parents chugging coffee like its water. As we walk hand in hand, I can’t help but wonder if kids is something Cody wants. It’s another one of those inevitable conversations we haven’t had yet. I want a big family, growing up as an only child was a bit lonely and I’d love to give my kids lots of siblings.

Our feet crunch the first of the falling leaves beneath our feet. It is barely September but the trees are already changing from greens to oranges. I love the way the park looks when the trees are in full autumn bloom. It always makes me feel cozy to walk through the park with a cup of hot coffee looking at the trees and the couples taking walks.

“So, how was work this week?” Cody asks suddenly.Has he seen Parker? No, that is crazy. Even if he has, it isn’t like he knows who he is.

“Fine.” I shrug. It isn’t like I am trying to hide it from him, I just don’t want to acknowledge Parker myself. I feel like if I tell him about him working there, it will be something we’ll have to talk about all the time. It is better to ignore him unless it becomes an issue.
