Chapter Eleven

––––––––

She didn’t get veryfar before Ryder curled his fingers around her bare arm and yanked her body against his.

“Do you know what protecting you means?”

She had never heard that tone of voice from Ryder. She thought she had heard every tone, every grumble, every roar, and growl. But this time there was an injection of fury and desperation in his voice.

“Do you?” he shouted.

“No,” she whispered. She had no idea what he was talking about. Protecting from the Smirnoffs? It didn’t matter. She was leaving as soon as she could. She wasn’t their problem anymore.

But this was all she needed. The after-effects of Ryder taking his belt to her lay in the pit of her belly. But now his touch ignited her enough so that the residual effect seeped under her skin and spread through her whole being, leaving her feverish with new need.

How was she going to survive without them?

She didn’t even know what the future held for her. Everything was so fucked up now. Yet here she was thirstily drinking at his nearness.

“It means we get to keep you. Forever. Here. We get to own you. And make you our wife. You live here in this cabin and we never take our fucking eyes off you.

“Every part of you. Every fucking inch of you, Harper. Belongs to us. It means we get to fuck every hole you have you, with our big cocks inside you, night, after fucking night. Me. Sawyer. Karter. You belong to us three and we’ll be fucking you until you’re swollen with our kids, do you understand that?”

She choked on her words as the emotion took over.

“Yes,” she said softly. “Yes.” She repeated herself.

“Are you sure? Because you don’t get to change your fucking mind. It’s forever, Harper. Forever with us three.”

Ryder released her and stood back, Sawyer and Karter on either side of him. The distance between them now was too great but that was what they wanted.

She was instantly taken back to the first time she had ever seen them. Her heart had fluttered the same way. Her body had reacted the same way and it was since that very moment that her body became theirs.

“Forever, Harper? Do you have what it takes?” Karter asked.

“But I’m stupid and broken and useless—”

“Don’t fucking say any of that,” Sawyer grunted. “You know you’re not any of that, Harper,” he added softening his voice. “You’re fucking perfect.”

Maybe she wasn’t stupid and broken and useless. Maybe she had just been searching for this and thought she could buy it at a store.
