She was a twin herself.

She understood Twin Powers.

She was also empathetic and nice, and he liked her for Wyatt. Liked her for his twin a lot.

Both she—andher twin—were sweet girls. But they were too soft for Jeremy. He wanted loud and brash and beautiful and strong. He wanted someone who could be his equal, who wouldn’t be afraid to go toe-to-toe with him and tell him off if he was being a douche.

“No,” he told her. “I’m fine.” He slanted a look at his brother. “It’s just been a long week.”

“But it’s only Monday.”

“Yeah.”

“So that’s one day into the week.”

For a second, he thought she was serious, thought that she really didn’t get what he’d meant, but then he saw the dash of humor in her green eyes and realized she was fucking with him.

Quietly.

Gently.

His lips twitched.

So did hers.

“Yeah,” he said.

“Does your long week mean you get to have another beer?”

Now he smiled for real. “Yeah.”

She did, too, standing and snagging the empty bottles, disappearing into his kitchen. Wyatt didn’t say anything in her absence, and neither did he. Part of that was because the action in the game had kicked up, and part of it was because Jeremy had used his Twin Powers to command his brother to shut the fuck up…and miracle of miracles, it had worked.

A few minutes later, Tiff was back, handing them each a beer, and setting a plate in front of them.

Cheese, crackers, and fruit.

Wyatt glanced at him, lifting his brows and Twin Powers or not, Jer heard thesee what magic my woman weaves?

She did weave magic—diffusing what would have certainly turned into a fight between him and Wyatt, taking the edge off his shit mood, bringing them beer and food.

Tiffany was great.

There was absolutely no doubt about that.

Just not for him, and neither was her twin sister, Melody.

“Gotta call my dad, baby,” Tiffany murmured, leaning close and resting her palm on his brother’s chest, brushing her lips over Wyatt’s.

Then she’d slipped down the hall, opened the sliding door off the kitchen, and ensconced herself onto his patio.

She’d been over enough to know where everything was.

So had Melody.

But Melody didn’t weave magic for him.

He knew that there had been some hope for the twins marrying twins thing amongst his family—mostly so his brothers and Cora could give him and Wyatt shit about the twins marrying twins thing.
