Asher shoves his arm off. "I'm still mad at you, asshole. You have a lot of nerve. You're lucky I don't kick your ass."

"What?" shrugs Zayn, feigning innocence like he's a god damn angel. "Are you worried you can't compete with me?"

"Okay, enough," I snap, rubbing my temples. This is getting out of hand.

The three of them look at me, different expressions on their faces. Blake looks pissed off, like I'm the reason for this mess. Zayn is amused, his eyes dancing while he takes pleasure in the chaos. And Asher… he looks concerned and distressed.

I head towards the stairs. "I'm going for a shower. I need some time alone."

Thankfully, no one follows me as I go to my room. I need a moment to unwind and process the destruction I've just left in my path.

I consider the bright idea of hiding in my room with the door locked. But, I know that won't achieve anything. I need to face the music eventually, and right now, it doesn't matter. Everything is out in the open.

I'm still so confused about Zayn's motives… whether he genuinely is trying to seduce me, or if it was just a ploy with Blake to get us to confess. Either way, it's fucking with me and I don't like it.

And Blake… he hates me so much. Yet, he was happy to watch us both crash and burn. Even his own brother.

There's still so much more to the story that no one is telling me, and it pisses me off.

I'm keen to find Asher. I need to check on him, to make sure he is okay. I still have no idea what we are or how we are going to deal with this, all I know is I want to do it together.

We've come too far now to go back. Nothing will ever be the same.

I head out of my bedroom and knock on Asher's door. There's no response, so I head downstairs.

My ears immediately perk up at the sound of yelling. Except, this time it's not Asher's voice I hear. It's a female's.

A very familiar female's voice.

My heart sinks. What else could possibly go wrong right now?

I pause in my tracks at the bottom of the stairs. The yelling is coming from the basement, but it's growing louder and louder.

I'm frozen in my tracks, unable to run or tear my eyes away from the hallway as I wait for them to emerge.

Jenny stomps out to the foyer, immediately spotting me. Her jacket is all crooked, covered in makeup stains and her hair is messy. She looks like a broken mess, her eyes glassy and red.

"You!" she screams, charging towards me. "How could you?"

Asher appears behind her a few seconds later, his face a picture of alarm and panic that he tries desperately to control. I stare at them, open-mouthed as I play dumb.

"What are you talking about?" I ask, looking at Jenny.

She walks up to me, and I don't even see it coming. It's so anti-Jenny, that I couldn't have predicted it if I tried.

SMACK.

Her hand hits me with such force, my body stumbles back on the staircase. I land on my ass, looking up at her in shock.

Tears are streaming down her face, her makeup smudged as she hiccups through her sobs.

"Youslut!" she screams, bunching her small hands into fists.

Asher runs over to me, looking at me on the stairs. I raise my head to look at Asher in panic, unsure how to react or what to say but give him a small nod to indicate I'm okay. Blake and Zayn appear in the doorway from the kitchen, watching the intense scene play out.

"Jenny, calm down," Asher says, turning to Jenny and stepping towards her with his hands raised like he is approaching a wounded animal. His face is blank again, composed as he tries to calm her down.

She turns, hitting him on the chest over and over. "I trusted you! I trusted you and you promised me nothing was going on."
