Lucas slammed his hands on the desk, standing up. "Do as your told, Levi. I'm getting rather sick of your attitude lately."

I snatched the photo from John's hand, noting the name 'Jarrod' and a handwritten address on the back. "Fine," I snapped, turning and heading towards the door.

"Levi," Lucas said, stopping me.

Turning, I stood waiting silently. He gave me a deadly glare, his eyes darkening.

"Don't disappoint me anymore. We're always watching, always."

My stomach churned as I stomped out of Jarrod's house. I'm not sure what I had expected to find, but his mangled corpse was not it.

I'm not sure who got to him first but either way, my father was not going to be pleased. Unless, of course it was a test.

I needed to get away for a bit. I was feeling overwhelmed, ready to crack from the pressure.

As I got into my car, I dialled Quinn, needing to hear her voice.

"Hey, babe," she answered.

"You free?" I asked, my tone flat.

I heard her pause whatever it was she was doing. "You okay? I'm just on my way home but you can come over. My parents are out."

Relief flooded through me as I shoved the key in the ignition. "Yeah. I'll be there shortly."

I cranked the music up, hitting the glove box open to grab the packet of smokes in there. I pulled one out, chucking the packet onto the passenger seat. Smoke started to fill the car as I ripped out onto the street, heading to Quinn's.

Everything was fucked up and I was starting to feel like a failure. I failed at being a Hunter. Failed at being a friend and protecting the people I cared about. I was stuck in this mindless limbo as chaos surrounded me.

Quinn's house was like a beacon, a lighthouse light guiding me home. As I parked the car, I found her waiting on the porch for me.

"I'm worried, what's wrong?" she asked, pulling me into a hug.

I squeezed her back, burying my head into the crook of her neck. "Just a bad day. But it's getting better now."

Quinn smiled, grabbing my hand to lead me inside. "Do you want a drink or anything?"

I pushed the door closed behind us, immediately pulling her to me. "I just need to be inside you."

Her hands gripped the bottom of my shirt, lifting it over my head. "I think I can manage that."

I wasted no time ripping her shirt off, my hands squeezing her tits. I was desperate to unleash the tension that was threatening to break me. The only one that could save me was her. She was everything, the reason I kept going.

I kept telling myself she will forgive the betrayal once I sort everything out. Once I protected them, and got them safe. I just didn't know how I would do it.

My hands slipped down to her ass, grabbing it before lifting her up onto my hips. I knew my way around her house so well that I didn't even need to see where I was going. My mouth found hers as I poured my soul into our kiss.

Her back hit the bedroom door, my body pinning her against it as my hips grinded into hers. Quinn reached down, her hand finding the door handle as she turned it, letting us fall into the room.

"I need you now," she moaned into my mouth, her body bouncing as she landed on the bed.

We ripped each other's clothes off until we were both in an acceptable state, our hands and mouths exploring each other like wild animals.

There was no time or need for foreplay. I was going to explode if I had to wait any longer to be inside her. She obviously felt the same, her hand gripping my cock and guiding it to her pussy.

My mind instantly cleared of all the stress and worry as soon as I was buried inside her. At that moment, the only thing that existed in the world was Quinn.

I let loose, fucking her so hard that her neighbors would probably end up calling the police from the screams, but neither of us cared. We held each other until we were both shaking from our mutual release, our bodies sweaty and flustered.
