The other jock snorted, his brown hair looking unkept. "Of course we do. What's it to you?"

I pushed off the wall, sizing them up. I was taller than both of them and thanks to my training routine, both as a player and as a Hunter, I could take them both easily if I wanted.

"I want in."

They both laughed, looking at each other but I could see the uneasiness in their faces. The brown haired boy looked back at me.

"Are you even any good?"

I scoffed, a bored expression on my face. "I could kick your ass and still have the energy to fuck your mother six ways to Sunday."

The boys stared at me, the taller one looking like he was ready to fight me. But the silence was broken when the brunette hunched over laughing.

"I like you! Yeah, I'll take you to see coach. He's an asshole but something tells me you'll get along. I'm Nathan, by the way and this is Jimmy. By the way, my mom ran out on me when she was 6, so when you see her, tell her to bring some milk home."

Nathan was right. Their coach was an asshole. Or should I sayour coach.

I trialled with the football team and was successful, as I knew I would be. It didn't take long before I was initiated asone of the boys. The jocks were too stereotypical for my liking but it was a good crowd to hide in. Plus it got me access to information and the intel I needed. No matter which school or academy you went to, jocks were always going to be top tier – even if they were a bunch of dickheads.

"Hendo!" one of the guys called out to me after training one day. Chad was as smart as a bag of bricks but a real 'pretty boy'. We got along okay, but I could only tolerate him in small doses. Any longer and I was ready to put a bullet in my own head just to spare my sanity.

"What's up?" I asked, swinging my duffle bag over my shoulder.

Chad grinned, fist bumping another player walking past him. "There's a party tonight. You should come. There will be lots of hot chicks. We could hook you up."

No thanks.

"Sure," I answered instead. This could be my chance to start making my move. I had spotted Blair a few times the past few weeks. There was nothing special about her as far as I could tell. But one thing about being in a gang, is you learn very quickly that looks can be deceiving. I hadn't introduced myself yet, but rumor had it she was a bit of a party animal. Apparently daddy's little angel had a wild side, and while I was sure none of the team had railed her, she was certainly on people's radars due to her looks. She was off-limits as such, and people always wanted what they couldn't have.

Chad gave me the details and I pocketed the address, heading back to my car as I started to mentally prepare for phase one of my mission.

I hoped Blair Fortin was ready for me.

I rolled my eyes as I stepped into the party later that night. People were already wasted and I scoffed at the amateurs. Pathetic, the lot of them.

I spotted Nathan and a few other guys from the team so I walked over. A new guy was standing with them, but I could tell immediately he wasn't in our crowd. He was short, skinny and looked like he had a bad wig on.

"This is Mallik," yelled Chad over the music. "He's afriend."

I raised an eyebrow, nodding to Mallik as I looked him up and down. Nathan laughed, leaning in close to me. "He's a friend with specialtreats,if you get my drift."

Ah. Drug dealer. Gotcha.

"And what's your speciality?" I asked him, bored but curious. Guys like him think they are playing in the big leagues but sadly for them, they are still batting for the juniors.

"Anything! MJ mainly."

I feigned interested, trying to pretend I was impressed that he had marijuana. In reality, almost anyone could get their hands on it if they wanted to. The Hunters ran a big drug operation so MJ was a small fish in a big pond.

Turning away from the group, I started to scan the crowd. It didn't take long until I found her, dancing in the center of the room with a friend.

It was now or never.

"I'll be back," I shouted to the guys, not waiting for their reply. They wolf whistled me, assuming I was off to find a hot piece of ass. Little did they know how wrong they were. Their brains would never be able to comprehend the deep, dark secrets my mind harbored.

Pushing through the crowd, I decided sleazy was not going to be the best tactic. I needed to build her trust, not just send her running, thinking I was just a typical jock.

I timed my entrance, inserting myself and squeezing past her, allowing myself to fall into her just enough it seemed like an accident. She yelped, stumbling as she turned to glare at me. I quickly threw her an apologetic smile, holding my hand up as a peace offering.
